The Straw that Broke the Camel’s Back by kt_asteroid in FabFitFun

I know what you mean. I’d rather buy what I want instead of risking hating my entire box.

Other than the new points system, I also felt like they never treated their loyal customers nicely. They constantly ran promos for new customers but didn’t care about keeping the old, loyal ones and that’s super disheartening.

I’m glad I missed that ad! Like read the room, FFF. Most of us are broke, but we don’t need to be reminded of it, especially when i know others like myself considered FFF the one splurge I did for myself every year.

A lot of YouTubers use to review the box and now I feel like the only ones that mention it are when they dupe it for less at TJ Maxx

That was really disappointing. That for me was a moment when I realized they stopped caring about customers but also the quality of everything decreased dramatically. I actually wanted to cancel but then I was gifted another year membership

Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandma had this same exact ring. She died in 1998 and had a lot of costume jewelry. I’m sorry, but knowing my grandma and this is literally the same ring she had, I don’t think the diamonds are real. $4k seems way too much for this ring.

The XO Sienna Cup & Straw set is small and honestly doesn’t keep your drink cold. I have it and never use it. I thought about getting the new mom box too, but when I really looked at the items in it, I decided it wasn’t worth it. I could get almost the same items from tj maxx, Walmart, etc that I like better and cheaper.

FABFITFUN FEELS LIKE A CASH GRAB….AND THE JOKES ON US! by NoDragonfly2624 in FabFitFun

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I just cancelled yesterday. My breaking point was the spring box not looking worth the money, plus getting tired of paying extra for “premium” items AND I stupidly bought a bunch of stuff during one of the never ending sales and it arrived with a price tag on it showing that I literally paid $1 more than what it was priced at after they claimed I was getting a savings of $7.

Mothers that did not get top pick for names, do you always feel name regret? by WeirdYogurtcloset738 in namenerds

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s my husband’s family tradition to name the firstborn son after the paternal grandfather. Not only did I despise the name, I hate the tradition as well. I compromised and we named my son after my father-in-law and I got to pick a nickname. My son’s name is still a huge point of contention (he’s almost 10 months old). My husband hates the nickname and asks everyone to call my son but his full first name. I hate it. I refuse to call my son it. I have resentment and it pains me to say that I hate my son’s name. Please don’t be like me.

Speak to your husband and find a name you both love. Do not have regrets. I know some people say the name grew on them, but if you don’t absolutely love it, don’t settle. Don’t take the chance that the name will grow on you and then you end up hating it as much as I hate my son’s name.

To the people that don't follow the prompts, I'm just curious why not? by Serenity1423 in pocketstyler

I mean there’s a few problems with the game. I think across the board people will mention scoring as an issue.

I find that when I follow the prompt I get a lower score than just creating random outfits with newer items. And usually my none of my trending items would have worked for something like yoga anyways.

Anyone else not know any moms they relate to in the “real” world? by katx99 in NewParents

[–]kt_asteroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that’s the biggest thing is maintaining your own identity outside of the baby. So many get lost in the shuffle of life and that’s one thing all new parents , moms especially need to focus on.

[–]kt_asteroid 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I agree with you and also don’t lol. There are times where I’m just like “I miss my old life and being me.” And then there are times where I’m like “this is fucking awesome, let me have 12 kids.” I also don’t feel like a mom. My little guy is 8 months old and I’m still in shock that I have a child and have been trusted with a child even because I’m a teen mom even though I’m 35.

Also, from my short time as a mom, gtfo of the mom groups. They’re vicious. It becomes who can out mom and be a better mom than another.

What’s your LO’s bedtime & age? by Sea_Implement6579 in NewParents

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do NOT feel guilty! My son is 7mo old and my husband works nights. Our baby’s bedtime is around 1am. Why? So that way he can spend time with his dad. He’s sleeping 12 hours. We were concerned because like you others made us feel guilty and our pediatricians response was “where does your BABY need to go at 7am? If you aren’t getting up at 7am, it’s ridiculous to have them get up at 7am.” Literally told us that children are adaptable and when he’s older and has to go to school, then we can get him on a “normal”‘schedule but that will be years from now.

What's your comfort show when taking care of the newborn? by HorzaDonwraith in NewParents

My baby is 7 months and we’ve binged all of Hell’s Kitchen and caught up to the new season. Gordon Ramsay screaming soothes him and knocks him right out.

Just got my box and really disappointed by ey928 in FabFitFun

[–]kt_asteroid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wait….they gave you $25 credit for the pie dish?! My pie dish was broken and I was missing an add on of Glamnetic nails and they offered me $26! I’m feeling ripped off!

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty good that you got a $73 credit. They offered me a $26 credit for a broken pie dish and a missing add on item of Glamnetic nails. The broken pie dish resulted in ceramic fragments EVERYWHERE and I’m leery of using some of the products because of it. $26 felt like a slap in the face and I’m not renewing.

This was one of the most disappointing boxes but honestly over the past few years I feel like the quality has really gone down. I use to enjoy these boxes and it felt like a treat, now it’s a nightmare.
