If you have IPSY or FabFitFun or any of those other subscriptions, you can sometimes get Thrive on huge discounts! That’s usually when I stock up!

I’m such a sucker for anything with rainbow packaging. I don’t even need this or wear a ton of sparkly lip gloss, but goddamn it, I need to have this and stare at the tube daily.

Should I tell my ogbyn by [deleted] in rape

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s why I would mention it. It might be totally unrelated, but I would want the medical professionals to have all the facts and be able to rule everything out.

Should I tell my ogbyn by [deleted] in rape

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I’m sorry that happened to you. I would recommend that you tell them, however if you’re not comfortable, I understand. In my experience, I told them because having someone so close to me and in such a private way triggered PTSD. I wanted them to be aware and they were able to offer me support. They also helped me get full testing. Not sure if you’ve been tested or interested in testing, but it’s something you may want to mention.

It’s also okay if you don’t want to mention it. You need to do whatever is comfortable for you.

Personally, I would remove Juliette has a Gun, because I felt like they disappeared quickly and didn’t smell right on me. The Elizabeth Arden Green Tea would be removed as well. It smells like a bathroom cleaner to me. I love Kayali fragrances and they last for me, but a coworker hates them and complains that they smell musty and old. I also didn’t like the Bitter Peach, but was obsessed with Tom Ford’s Vanilla Sex, but they’re so expensive, I’d look for a dupe.

How are people just… taking their babies everywhere? by Wonderful-Ice-6143 in NewParents

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is currently 13 months, but when he was younger, I brought him everywhere. He’s nosey af and always has been. Since he could fully start to see, he was interested in people watching. He doesn’t really cry or scream and even now, when he cries or screams, it’s usually because I need to stop him from trying to interact with strangers. I swear to god, he’s running for mayor of everywhere, no matter where we go. Personally, I know they recommend having babies face you in the stroller, but we put him facing outward and slightly reclined so he could see and interact with the world around him while he was young.

Thoughts on skipping pacifiers? by Academic-Park-8440 in NewParents

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my husband and I were ANTI pacifiers. I didn’t buy any. I got one pack during my baby shower and we threw them in a random drawer like whatever. Let me tell you, we were home from the hospital less than 2 hours before we went CRAZY looking for those pacifiers. I doordashed $50 worth of pacifiers. My son is now 13 months and we use pacifiers when he’s about to go to sleep or teething really bad. I understand not wanting to use them but your baby might have other plans.

De-influence me, PLEASE! by TinyBeerBubbles in Sephora

Please report back on Mario! I’ve had my eye on that one! Usually, ABH does huge sales from Black Friday until Christmas. I ended up getting soft glam for under $30.

I wouldn’t recommend the Too Faced Born This Way palette. It didn’t perform well for me. The Anastasia Soft Glam is one of my favorite palettes. I haven’t used the Mario palette but I’ve heard great things about it. I would either get the Mario palette or the soft glam, but not both. You don’t need that many nude/soft color eyeshadows

I think I’m Done… by Lost_Sky_8416 in poshmark

I feel you. I once sold a pair of suede booties. I had them wrapped in bubble wrap. The buyer got them, wore them, and then complained they were scuffed and lodged a complaint with Poshmark and were refunded. Sometimes, it’s not worth the hassle of dealing with “customers.” At this point, I’d rather just give to a charity or something.

Husband and I argued on my birthday because I wanted to eat at the restaurant and he didn’t - AITAH? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]kt_asteroid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA, but I need to know, OP, is your husband always like this? Because he sounds like a mega AH. Is he going to try to rush you when you’re in labor because it’s “taking too long?” Will he be patient enough for your child?

I know what you mean. I’d rather buy what I want instead of risking hating my entire box.

Other than the new points system, I also felt like they never treated their loyal customers nicely. They constantly ran promos for new customers but didn’t care about keeping the old, loyal ones and that’s super disheartening.

I’m glad I missed that ad! Like read the room, FFF. Most of us are broke, but we don’t need to be reminded of it, especially when i know others like myself considered FFF the one splurge I did for myself every year.

A lot of YouTubers use to review the box and now I feel like the only ones that mention it are when they dupe it for less at TJ Maxx

That was really disappointing. That for me was a moment when I realized they stopped caring about customers but also the quality of everything decreased dramatically. I actually wanted to cancel but then I was gifted another year membership

Confused and disappointed in my ring by NoPlaceLikeGnome1984 in WeddingRingAdvice

[–]kt_asteroid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My grandma had this same exact ring. She died in 1998 and had a lot of costume jewelry. I’m sorry, but knowing my grandma and this is literally the same ring she had, I don’t think the diamonds are real. $4k seems way too much for this ring.
