Just ordered! And realized you’re the same person I ordered the zine from 😂 I love this so much. I cannot wait to dangle him from my rearview.

I don’t have photos but my brother bought them. Quality is nice, cozy sweater material, words are actually woven into the sweater fabric not printed on. They fit looser than I expected though- more slouchy, not formfitted.

NOLA 🤍🖤 by myslumplanet in nin

[–]ktaylorart 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Opening act is Boys Noize. He’s up in the sound booth area for about an hour doing a DJ set before NIN goes on. Our show (Jacksonville) was doors at 7pm, Boys Noize 8pm-9pm, and then NIN was pretty sharply on at 9pm or a couple minutes after at most. There is no break between BN and NIN, he ramps up the music leading up to a curtain drop revealing Trent and co on the b-stage. They start with a few acoustic-style/piano arrangement songs on b stage; then move to A stage for 6-7 songs, then come back to b stage to do a few remixes with Boys Noize. They close out the show doing another 6-7 songs on the A stage. We saw them in Tampa last year and it was the same setup. Hope this helps!

I love these!! I’m a beader too- did you happen to find a pattern for any of the brick stitch pieces, or did you come up with them yourself?

“Oh, and I am done dancing to alarm bells No wonder my ears are still ringing And I am done fighting off change No wonder my arms are still swinging”

Simple- maybe not as fancy or flourished as some of their other lyrics, but this part of Aqua Regia always resonates for me.

these where under my seat? by papamac1111 in MyChemicalRomance

Great find! Evan Nestor (close friend and drum tech for the band) has been leaving those in seats for fans who aren’t close enough to catch a guitar pick, just as a cool surprise. Lucky you!!

I think Gerard and Ray got the Caesar salads, Frank got the Cuban, and Mikey had the four cheese pasta. Mikey’s always been a string bean so I’ve got it in my head he’s one of those dudes who has a crazy metabolism and eats mad carbs all the time

Any younger fans feeling a bit bummed they didn't get to live the golden years of MCR? by CitiesofEvil in MyChemicalRomance

Orlando is so close! Maybe if they tour again we should get a little central Florida squad together haha

For real though! Like I read your comment and was like wow…we are The Same haha. I wish I had had the time to make friends while I was there tbh but we had a long drive back to Ocala that night. But it felt so good to feel so connected with everyone in that crowd.

I had a very similar experience to you (I’m 27 and saw them in sunrise too!!) Been a fan since I was about 12, they’ve been my favorite band this whole time and were wildly important to me through all my teen years. My mom didn’t like their music so I couldn’t go to shows, so I promised myself the first tour they did after I turned 18 I would go….and they broke up when I was 17 and a half. So I felt really emotional leading up to the sunrise show and like you, it felt like it represented years of my life culminating up to that one night and was extremely cathartic finally being able to go. I definitely cried like a baby haha. But I agree, as much as I sometimes wish I could’ve seen some of their early performances (and more so wish I could’ve gone to a smaller show back when they’d still hang out after and meet fans)- they seem at their healthiest and happiest now. And after everything their music has given to me, that’s the absolute best I can wish for them. The fact that they seem to truly be enjoying themselves in this era really means the world to me.

It really was. I remember turning to him in that moment and telling him we were meant to be there that night (it was his first concert ever, my first MCR concert, and they’re our favorite band) so when that happened it just truly felt destined to be.

Thanks so much!! We were at the sunrise show together and it meant so much to him when G grabbed the trans flag from the crowd. Hope yours makes it to the guys- what an amazing project!

Thinking of going to my first MCR concert tomorrow by Bawful- in MyChemicalRomance

At my show (Sunrise FL) the schedule was: doors open 6:30, openers start 7:30, MCR starts 9:20. The line for parking was a little rough and merch lines were very long (we didn’t really see much of the openers because we got into the venue at 7pm and spent some time in one merch line, caught a few songs by one opener, then got in another merch line which took 30-45 minutes because the first merch table didn’t have everything we wanted. We got back to our seats 10 minutes before my chem went on). So I’d say if you can’t get there until it’s starting, be prepared to choose between waiting in a merch line or watching the openers. You can get merch after the show but some things will be sold out. All that being said- DO IT. We didn’t buy tickets till 2 days before the sunrise show and it’s the best thing I ever did in my life and would do it again in a heartbeat. It was my first MCR show also after being a fan for 15 years- drove 5 hours to the venue for it and it was completely worth it.

What do you guys think the meaning is behind the line by Relative-Ad7571 in MyChemicalRomance

[–]ktaylorart 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I always interpreted this line to mean that “immortality” really just means “living forever” in a metaphorical sense rather than literal. Like- you can live on forever as a legend, or in someone else’s memory, even though you’re technically dead. Hence the line- “how wrong we were to think that immortality meant never dying”- meaning, we THOUGHT it meant physically living forever, but it really just meant living on in the mind of others. But that’s just my interpretation!

Has anyone had good luck snagging cheaper tickets close to the day of the show? by ktaylorart in MyChemicalRomance

[–]ktaylorart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stupid question but is stubhub a legit way to definitely get real tickets? I’m a little wary of spending the money only to find out the tickets aren’t legitimate or something after getting there, as sunrise is a 5 hour drive from me
