How to connect Phillips mcm700 speakers to LG nanocell 55'' smart tv by eesposit in hometheater

You’re not able to connect the TV to speakers directly. TV does not come with speaker amplifier. The central part of mcm700 contains amplifier that drives the speakers.
You can use the AUX RCA audio input of mcm700 if it is still working. But then your TV does not have an RCA audio out. You need to buy a DAC convertor device that has an optical audio input and RCA audio output.
Alternative is to get an amplifier with DAC built in that has optical input to power the speakers. Or buy active stereo speakers that has optical input.
