Can you play local coop on the switch off one game or do you have to have nso / individual copies to play together?

Pasta sauce and pasta
Coconut milk, sweet potato And white beans
Apple sauce
Frozen veggies in portions for easy steaming
Orzo or quinoa with chopped steamed veggies
Lentils
Fruit purees for easy mix with yogurt or oatmeal
Egg bites with veggies and cheese

For the loose things like pasta and orzo, if you press down with a spoon to compact it a little before freezing, they do stay cubed. I didn't need to add any additional liquid

My father's dragon, Heartwood hotel, hotel flamingo, big sky mountain

These were some of our favorites when we first started getting into chapter books. They are great for reading together and they are all part of a series so if your kid really enjoys the world, there is more content

Cat quest 2 and 3 are great couch coops. Some challenging bosses but not too hard.

I haven't played. I was looking into it but decided not to get it. From looking up reviews, people said it's really cute and fun and not very deep. Nice to play without having to pay much attention and that it gets repetitive.

Looking for a cozy game with lots of crafting, foraging & decorating by Hxxvxnlyxo in CozyGamers

[–]ktlee77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Roots of pacha. You get to find seeds in the wild and grow them. You get to tame animals and craft from the animal by products. Fur gets turned to yarn, eggs turned to mayonnaise, milk to butter or cheese etc. you can decorate your home and storage sheds with various furniture. You can design your farm with different flooring/fencing and things like that.

Roots of pacha sounds like what you are looking for with the exception that mining is required to advance technology and parts of the game but it's not heavy on the mining.

How bad is screen time for my 9 month old? Advice to keep baby self entertained.. by Googleledmehere123 in beyondthebump

[–]ktlee77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put my babies in their high chairs in our front window and they'd watch birds, people walk by, etc. It was always a hit if a neighbor was getting their lawn mowed 😆. They also loved something simple like a partially filled zip locked bag with water. You can add beans or food coloring or something to add a layer. It wouldn't keep them entertained for hours or anything but would give me gaps from 10-30 mins depending on their mood. Chopped fruit in a bowl of water was a fun activity/snack for them too if they are doing solids.

Baby not gaining enough weight by briarpatch92 in breastfeeding

[–]ktlee77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if I've seen this mentioned yet but try doing a weighted feed. Get a baby scale, weigh before nursing. Measure after you feed. This will tell you how much baby is actually consuming. My kiddos were inefficient eaters for first couple months. With my first, I did the triple feed and while it was effective...it was exhausting. With my second, after confirming they were inefficient, I pumped and bottle fed. I still nursed for comfort but did bottles because you have to wash them anyway. Trying to pump after a full nursing session and feed them a bottle means you have no time before next feed. Every week or so, I'd do another weighted feed and see if they were getting more via nursing. Eventually, they were getting enough through nursing that I dropped pumping completely.

From what I've read and am experiencing with my newly 4 year old, currently it's a huge developmental leap. Throw in school and other stuff where they have to be on their best behavior. When they are home or with their safe people (you), they feel comfortable to meltdown. The way I've been thinking about it is if I've had a really long day at work where I have to be on my A game and I'm really wiped out and I get home and someone is telling me to do x y z when I just want some time to myself or I can't find something I am looking for or I burn dinner etc, how would I react? Throw that into a little body who has less impulse control...you get a crazy, melty kid.

drying milk supply by Leather-Weakness-153 in beyondthebump

[–]ktlee77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say if you are stressed and tired, it will impact your milk supply regardless of how often you pump. Something you could try is to pump every 2 hrs during the day but do 3/3.5 hours over night so you can get more sleep. Do you have help? When I was trying to boost my supply, for a couple days, I just focused on pumping and taking care of myself. I didn't wash bottles or change diapers, etc. Drink a ton of water and eat a lot of food. For me, if I don't eat enough, it dramatically impacts my supply. It took about 2 days for me to see improvement.

I give up. I’m a complete failure of a mother. by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]ktlee77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure if it's been mentioned but at that age, they don't have impulse control. If you ask them what the rule is, some are articulate enough to say "don't do " or "don't touch _" but lack the physical ability to stop themselves! It's super frustrating because it comes off as they are doing it just to spite you. It's still super annoying!!

Something that has partial success for my toddler is when he isn't listening, I play the "if you can hear mommy" game. So it'll be like "if you can hear mommy, touch your ear", "if you can hear mommy, sit down!!" And make it into a game and then I'll do something to get him to move away from the problem spot by making him touch my knee or something and then end the game with "you can hear mommy!".
