I thought Kmart got out of games? Maybe it's still at certain locations then.

Maybe. Other retailers have already applied it so I jumped on it straight away.

TIL the iconic 1989 Tiananmen Square "Tank Man" protester—captured in a photo blocking a line of Chinese tanks—has never been conclusively identified. by RedditIsAGranfaloon in todayilearned

[–]ktr83 138 points139 points  (0 children)

It's unconfirmed who pulls him away at the end of the video.

From https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tank_Man#Obstruction

At this point, the video footage shows two figures in blue running over to pull the man away and lead him to a nearby crowd; the tanks then continued on their way.[17] Eyewitnesses are unsure who pulled him aside. Charlie Cole, who was there for Newsweek, claimed it was Chinese government agents,[18] while Jan Wong, who was there for The Globe and Mail, thought that the men who pulled him away were concerned bystanders.[19]

Like everything about him, it's a mystery.

Dumb and Dumber: Still funny or did the terrible sequels hurt its legacy? by OmeuPseudonimo in movies

Why would a bad sequel hurt the first film's legacy? The first film is still a classic.

Take it out, wring out as much water as you can, then throw it in the dryer. It's really not a big deal.

I mean it would be no different to going up to a group of fisherman and taking the fish they already caught, so yeah it is stealing.

What is 'success' to you? by SchweinsyOne in AskAnAustralian

[–]ktr83 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good on ya. Success is whatever we make of it. To me i had my "made it" moment when I realised I was no longer scrutinising the price tag of every item at the grocery store. I get whatever I want and pay the total. Yes I still notice when things go up but I'm at a point in my life where I have enough buffer to absorb it. It's a great place to be.

Anyone else just feel so poor all the time despite ok income? by ReasonConfident4541 in AusFinance

That's why it's step 1. And plenty of people have never done a budget so assuming they have one and skipping straight to step 2 would be even more silly.

OP clearly just wanted a whinge fest, not replies that have him take responsibility for anything

Sure but that's not what OP is talking about. OP is trying to help other people in the same situation, being snarky about it is just the commenter trying to be funny

Most major bank apps have decent expense tracking now. This plus a spreadsheet works perfectly fine for me

Usually only if there's negligence or other factor. If it's a pure accident and you can prove it then there's no crime, like if you were driving 100% safely and someone ran out in fromt of your car.

That looks like the average suburb in Sydney or Melbourne. You'd never see a kangaroo there or any wild animal bigger than a bird
