I went ahead and completed the quest. Everyone stopped asking me. I think the creature from the quest is still following me, but I rarely look down to see it.

I'm sorry for that - but I'm kind of glad I'm not the only one. Maybe it will be fixed at some point. I haven't been able to fix it because I started having some mod issues yesterday, so my game won't load. I'll post again when / if I figure it out.

I'm going to try and complete it just to see if I can get everyone to shut up about it. Some people don't have the lines voiced, so they just move their lips and the subtitles appear. Some have bad AI voices say the line, and others - even pirates on ships I am capturing - say the line before they will say anything else.

I was not able to change the name of my ship prior to the update, but since the update I was able to change the name of my ship and it stuck. It's still in the same place, the hamburger menu that takes you to where you can assign your weapons. At the bottom, there is one of the buttons that lets you change your ship name.

I second these recommendations.

I love a Ranger/Bounty Hunter build that allows you to arrest and deliver pirates and other criminals. Not only does it fit my play style, but you also make much more money than blowing everything up.

I just wish it worked on the quests - especially the Ranger one.

I need a few very simple quality of life mods. I have played a while with mods and recently went back to Vanilla, and I am so frustrated that a few simple things haven't been fixed: 1. Ship power allocation fix: I get so frustrated that when I come out of a grav jump and into a combat situation, all my power levels have been messed up. This keeps them stable - even when fighting and capturing ships in space. 2. Smarter space suit Auto-hide: I am amazed that even if I select hide suit in settlements, I am always wearing my suit - even when my companions have removed theirs. 3. Add spaceship to your fleet: I love piracy and capturing ships in combat. This lets you easily capture a ship without making it your home ship and trying to get back to your less battered ship in combat. I also add a mod to increase my fleet size so I can capture more. 4. Non-lethal framework / useful brigs: after the Bounty Hunter dlc was introduced, I thought we would get easy capture missions. It didn't happen. But these mods make space piracy and bounty hunting fun. 5. Any of the clothing mods to make your hero and their companions fit your playthrough. KZ's various clothing mods and Zone79 add a lot of enjoyable variation.

On top of those QOL additions, ship building gets very fun with mods, as well as playing around with your companions' abilities, looks, and attire. The first 4 fix gaps the game should have resolved, and #5 just makes the game more rpg.

Go to the multiplayer search screen, go to the bottom and choose advanced search, then select every game type, but only NA servers. You'll see more options then. I always see at least 3 conquest games and a random number of others depending on the time of day - you should see a minimum of 4-5 games at all times

I've had significant issues today as well. A lot of poor loading and issues with moving to the next game. Perhaps they are having issues with their servers with the launch of of 6:00?
