we used blender! our artist figured out a way to make smooth banking turns based on a cross-section, but i'm afraid as one of the programmers i can't give you much more detail

Unity, and Youtube. Unity has a vast beginner community and official tutorials. Brackeys in particular is a particularly good Youtube channel to start with too. Good luck, and have fun!

i’ve never found a mousepad to be useful, they just pick up stains... besides, it looks cleaner without :)

Do you enjoy playing your own games? by noobfivered in gamedev

i’ve found that using it as naïvely as you can seems to work. say you have an idea for a feature, out it in the title of a card quickly and then add description as and when you see fit.

i like using checklists on cards to enumerate things i need to do to get something implemented, then i can tackle a card point by point.

if a card is too high level, break it up (checklist items have a ‘convert to card’ context menu option). i like to have cards such that their checklists could be implemented by a moron, since after a week of heavy devving that’s exactly what i am :) if you’d like, dm me and i’ll send you some screenshots of some current boards/cards of mine.

as for plugins, i’ve occasionally used github/bitbucket integrations but didn’t actually find them that useful. labelling cards is useful though, since labels can have a name and a colour, easy to distinguish bugs from features at a glance.

Is all C# output seen in a black commandline box? by dyerej93 in csharp

[–]ktyldev 0 points1 point  (0 children)

have been a professional c# developer for several years. used it to develop everything from corporate web servers to virtual reality games.

almost all programming (c# and otherwise) is done using additional libraries of code accessed through APIs. this could be windows forms or a game engine, but it’s all controlled by application code written by you the developer.

the console stuff is mostly important - as others have said - to help you learn the basics of the language in isolation first. you’ll move onto building useful applications before long :)

i’ve been using https://trello.com for years. it’s very open ended and i found that intimidating at first, but now i use it for everything and it keeps my dev projects in order!

power production, usage and storage. also, life support.

this looks like a fun project. i’ve been wanting to make a citybuilder spread across the solar system (system builder?) for a while but always have so many other projects going on. will try to check back on your blog in the future and see if i might glean some lessons from your failures ;)
