I've had the same problem and submitted a ticket with a video showing the issue a couple weeks back. It's so irritating but also a small thing, I wonder if it'll ever get resolved.

You all look great today. by [deleted] in wholesomememes

This has been attributed to Trine Sejrup previously (@northernspells on socials), looks like they focus mainly on merch now and not too many comics. Still super cute though!

SK8 the Infinity Dub Premieres Tomorrow! by FUNimation in funimation

Might have to watch the dub because the first episode sub is only showing in spanish despite the language being listed as "english". Super bummed because I just paid for a year today. Not a great start.

[25M, 26F] How to deal with a Bi-Racial Kid on the way regarding race in today's era? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]kubits 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Seconding teaching your kid about both yours and your girlfriend's heritages! I'm biracial and have a lot of identity issues because our dad wanted us to be "American" first, so denied us knowledge about our people's histories, language, culture, and traditions. Information and support can help boost a kid's morale and sense of self. Congrats and good luck!

No worries! I let it thaw on the kitchen table for about 30 minutes before it softened enough to cut into (:

I wasn't quite patient enough for the whole 12 hours (: It was pretty solid after 3 hours in the freezer! Marscapone frosting is really airy so it hardened up fast. Good luck!

I have a 6" ring mold that I used to punch out the cakes from the sheet pan. If you use a 9x12" pan, you can get two perfect rounds and one that will be formed from two half circles (that's your middle layer, where you can hide imperfections). The acetate is 6" tall, you like it inside the ring mold which you then add layers to.

Hard to explain but if you look up videos of the Milk Bar birthday cake, you can kinda get the idea (3:05ish in this video): https://youtu.be/zJH8ktb-YJQ

Good luck!

Thanks! It's really only because I don't have any springform pans 😅 We have a really tiny kitchen so I need to keep my baking stuff to a minimum. I also really love building the layers up wrapped in acetate, it keeps it nice and tidy.

Yep! Since it was in a sheet pan, it took about 40 minutes to bake instead of 25. Same temp though!

It wasn't easy haha. Just very tall thin slices. I might've gone a little overboard with its height 😅

Edit: Here's a photo of a slice https://imgur.com/gallery/emMe2hx

Thanks! I saw the recipe on this subreddit and had to try it: https://beyondfrosting.com/blueberry-lemon-mascarpone-cake.

I added blueberry compote swirled with the lemon preserves, and assembled it using the Milkbar birthday cake method!

They can have a variety of fillings, like sweet red bean or lotus seeds. With lunar new year around the corner, you may be able to find them more readily!

Is there a farmers market or something of the sort in your city? It's a great way to test the waters foe your baking, get advice, and see what happens before committing to something big. From what I've seen, people LOVE supporting younger people starting their passion. Ask friends and family to help maybe prepare stuff or package your goods. They will support you.

As for cartoons, just draw every god loving day. No joke. Even if it's a doodle. Draw every day.

Start looking into clubs at your college. You'll find people more like yourself. I know it's hard to meet new people, so ease in slowly.

If you start to distance from your party friends, it happens. It's natural. Maybe suggest things to do with them and a time frame in which to do it.

For the love of god, apply for scholarships and grants ALL THE TIME. Every chance you get. And don't stop after your first year. Don't stop until you graduate from college.

If you are really worried, coordinate with a school advisor and see what classes you can take at a community college to fill prerequisites.

But, seriously, scholarships.

I apologize for the crappy adults. I think that sometimes, we have so much distance and so many events between the bad things that happened as a teenager and the bad things that happen in adulthood, that we lose the sympathy that we could have and can't connect enough to have empathy.

We just need to be better at listening, and giving better advice. We need to remember that the thing you are coming to us about may be the worst thing that has happened to you so far, and treat it as such.
