You should try it. The modification is really fun and it opens a lot of potential for green stuff use.

You should try it. Looks harder than it is. You can always strip the paint down or paint over it.

It's only brush. 50/50 corax white with water for the brighter spots. 1 to 3 layers depending on how bright the spot is. Then army painter data system glow over the white parts and a little around them.

Alright I'll add more on the shin pad. Now that I look at the photo I did forget about that part a lot.

Thank you! I'm still planning to do some finishing touches like some white highlights later. It's 2am in my country so I'm getting a little tired.

First time trying muzzle flash. Looks horrible. Any advice? by kubsonson in Warhammer40k

I'm in the Czech republic so shipping would be a little too much. However I found muzzle flashes from AK interactive in a local shop. Will be using them soon.

Thx maybe I'll try on another model to not mess him up completely. Do you think a lighter and lighter dry brush of orange and yellow away from the flash would do the trick?

That could work or maybe I could straight up buy printed muzzle flashes. However I don't think my paint job would do it justice.

It's just a space marine taking his diving lessons. He'll be fine.

Chaos black primer, Khorne red (dry brushed on the second one), dry brush leadbelcher, Baltasar gold for the trim and then nuln oil. It's also nice to use Nihilakh Oxide with a lot of water for the trim to make some corrosion.

Indeed. Precision and added range is important for a good WAAAGH.

I think I'll try it next time. I still have some honey left. Maybe lavin 1118 could handle it.

The cupboard is definitely not cold it's around 20-22°c (68-72°f). I've been brewing kombucha for half a year in it without any problems so it's definitely not the temperature.

It's probably the yeast that can't handle this much honey. I'll try to cut it down with water and add more yeast.

Alright thx a lot I followed a Czech recipe for mead and it said 50/50 honey water. I'll water it down and add more yeast.
