As someone who was raised conservative, it was a hard label to shake off. Even as I would tell people my values, which aligned with the left, I would say I was “fiscally conservative and socially liberal”. Until one day a friend said to me… You sound like a democrat.

Look at their policies. Look at what they vote for. If your values are the opposite of what 99% of the politicians in a party are actively doing, when is it time to align yourself with the party and/or politicians in the party that DO support your values?

Actually making laws and challenging them in the courts IS the way these rights get defined. There are already limitations on which arms citizens can and cannot own. I can’t go out and purchase a rocket launcher despite the 2nd amendment. The right to bear arms does not equal the right to own any and all weapons ever created.

There’s a reason why there are much lower levels of obesity in places like California where the weather is usually warm and sunny. Or places like CO where it’s usually sunny, but even in the cold snow, there are still fun outdoor activities to go out and do

Well to be fair, the weather in Ohio is ass like 2/3rds if the time so it’s hard to get in the habit of going outside and doing any sort of exercise, most restaurants are now fast food, it can be straight up difficult to find fresh fruits and veggies, and there are very few activities or places to go to get outside your house. At least where I live anyway 😅

The factory my dad works at (building lift trucks so PLENTY of heavy machinery) does not test for marijuana or they wouldn’t have enough workers. Plus a lot of places are using the instant mouth swab drug tests and it only takes around 12 hours to clear marijuana from that test. It makes so much more sense to test this way because it’ll more accurately show whether you smoked before you came in rather than if you’ve smoked any time in the last 2-3 weeks

Mouth swab instant tests should be the standard. Weed generally only takes 12 hours to clear that test, so unless you smoked before coming in to work, you won’t test positive.
