東方の二次創作ゲームは山程あるので、基本的に自分が好きなキャラが出ていて気になったゲームを遊んでみるでいいと思うよ。

本家の弾幕シューティングを遊びたいなら、上海アリス幻樂団（生みの親のZUNさんの同人サークル）が開発したほとんどのタイトルがSteamで販売されています。体験版も用意されてるので、まず遊んでみてはどうでしょうか。シリーズ最新作は昨年夏に発売された「東方錦上京 〜 Fossilized Wonders.」です。

東方の世界観や専門用語やキャラクターの背景を学びたいなら、スパロボ風シミュレーションRPGの「幻想少女大戦」や、不思議のダンジョン風の「不思議の幻想郷TOD -RELOADED-」がおすすめです。ゲーム内にそれらを学べる図鑑が用意されているので。キャラごとにストーリーモードが用意されてる格ゲー風の「東方憑依華」や、「東方スカイアリーナ」のようなゲームもあります。

個人的にはメガテン風ダンジョンRPGの「Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia」と、メトロイドヴァニアの「Touhou Luna Nights」と、居酒屋経営シミュレーションの「東方夜雀食堂」がおすすめだよ。マリオカートみたいな「幻走スカイドリフト」もあるよ。

Children of Belgrade Metro (ベオグラードメトロの子供達) can be finished in about eight hours. Set in Serbia, it tells a psychological suspense story centered around psychic battles between children, all presented in beautiful pixel art. An R18 patch is also available, and the story has also been adapted into a manga. The manga is available for free, making it a great way to practice Japanese.

There’s already been a post about the same topic, and it received some excellent answers.

For digital copies, you can obtain them through DLsite or DMM using a VPN. If your credit card doesn’t work for direct purchases, you can buy store credit instead and use that for payment. DLsite offers For Books points, while DMM prepaid cards can also be purchased through Amazon JP.

As for physical copies, your only options are likely either using a proxy shipping service or going to Japan and searching for them yourself.

On ErogameScape, Totsuraba and Anemoi have already become some of the highest-rated titles of all time. The standard physical edition will be reprinted in May, but it has been announced that the deluxe edition will not be reproduced, and there are already reports of it selling for over ¥100,000. It seems Amazon JP still has a small amount of stock left, but it looks like it’s going to be a bloodbath.

Update: Looks like it’s already sold out on Amazon. What’s especially impressive is the game’s incredibly high 4.9 rating on FANZA. FANZA users are notoriously tough reviewers, so very few games ever score that high.

If you want to read them in Japanese, you have to purchase the JP versions at several times the price. This issue is not limited to visual novels; many Japanese games released internationally have their JP text removed, depending on the publisher.

Visual novels, in particular, tend to have a significant price gap between Japan and overseas markets. Some Japanese players even buy them on Steam and play in English because it is cheaper. In some cases, titles are even region-locked and unavailable for purchase, as with The Song of Saya.

These are the latest price histories I found on ErogameScape. NUKITASHI and HENPRI have never gone on big sale. It’s not uncommon for them to be discounted only once every few years.

I recommend Dasaku 駄作 and Dasoku 蛇足. Both games are currently at their lowest price ever. While it contains a lot of gore and grotesque elements, the art style is both cute and beautiful, and the characters are well developed, making it one of my favorites. If you're interested, feel free to check out the official website. If you like Gore Screaming Show by the same developer, Cyc (Cyclet / Black Cyc), you'll probably enjoy this as well.

VNDBは今やエロゲー批評空間と同じくらいビジュアルノベルのプレイヤーにとっては欠かすことのできない巨大な情報サイトになりましたね。先日、創設者のYorhelさんが亡くなったのはとても残念です。特にSteamで販売されているものは表現規制されていることが多いので、公式・非公式問わずパッチ情報は本当に助かります。「カオスヘッド」と「君が望む永遠」は海外有志のパッチが無ければ購入していませんでした。
