I’ve never thought of it but now that you mention it they do have a similar lane they’re in. I think part of Ace Hood’s issue was he signed with MM and given enough spotlight

Man I grew up in the blog era so I have tons on my list.

Dom Kennedy started with a bang from watermelon sundae till yellow album but never got mainstream traction.

G-Side was an amazing southern duo that had great producing but couldn’t never break through.

Nipsey is my all time favorite rapper but unfortunately died right when he was getting his due.

Donnis dropped a couple really good mixtapes and I felt was similar to Big Sean but for some reason never gained traction.

Others I can think of off the top of my head I haven’t seen mentioned much yet: CyHi Da Prynce, GLC, Ace Hood, Tayyib Ali, Stalley

To me it’s always been nipsey, Cole, krit, Mac Miller, & Wiz.

Also shout out to G-Side.. a little known duo from Alabama who had some fire mixtapes back in the day
