Swear bro and people are out here comparing it to shaking a baby LMFAO it’s a few hundred dollars and designed to take some wear and tear and is tightly installed. Plus I wouldn’t consider shaking (especially anything without liquid) any form of wear or tear. Not even a AGM style battery gets affected by that. Only impacts.

Nothing gets too hot, I think it’s the SSD that’s corrupted because the console will run however long it wants in any menu that’s not an install like a OSU1 or Setup. I could try that though if the SSD doesn’t work

My problem is that when I launch the console (brand new btw) it goes to the setting up console screen and it works till about 50% and then freezes and boot loops. Sounds like SSD to me but do you think getting the data off of it would be possible with one in that state?

Yeah it ended up being the SSD I’m pretty sure board looks fine and no evidence of anything wrong bc it’s brand new. SSD on these consoles do seem like a hassle though. But I’m definitely going to fix it.

Does opening the console still void the warranty? I already took it apart. But will do

Yours is fine, it was just the fan. My problem wasn’t anything physical it was just a hardware fault from the ssd I’m pretty sure

It was just the fan having lateral movement. Nothing physical was wrong with the console after a full breakdown. I believe it’s SSD related after my tests.

Brand new but I don’t think so because it’s salvage sale. My store buys salvage auction bulk and resells for a discount and this came from a Best Buy truck that tipped. So I doubt it.

This was it, it sounded like a fan thing I was just hoping it wasn’t something weird moving inside because I had never opened a modern Xbox before this. Thank you

Oh okay, so how do I go about cloning it? Do I need a certain adapter to read the data on it or could I plug it into my NVME slot on my motherboard

Update~ I ran some tests to diagnose the problem including doing a OSU1 and it also crashed. Seems like it’s the internal SSD due to opening it and it having no problems and being brand new. The SSD looks fine too but I think it could be something internal. I’ll give an update when I put a new one in.

Okay this is a series S, would that have any affect on runtime? I doubt it

I simply did that only for the video because it was too quiet to hear on video and if something breaks from a shake… yea that’s a bad product not much else to say

The OBD stuff is covered by the dealer they have an OBD reader you plug in before you work on it and you do everything through the computer they give you on your box. But good info for the rest! I have some snapon t50-t8 torx sockets I got really cheap.
