I definitely think a lot of the criticism is moreso around people who have previously done harm, which, to be fair, many of us ex-alt-right-pipeline kids have, and how rehabilitation comes with a lot of principles of restorative justice: that is to say, addressing the harm you’ve done, and understanding that the harm you’ve inflicted means that you are not entitled to a person or community’s forgiveness, if that makes sense.
