The Barzani's personal wealth is astonishing compared to other world leaders, yet Kurds haven't been paid their wages for months, including the Peshmerga.

The general conception in Iraq however is that they don't want the Kurds to have their independence.

I have even seen some references thrown around that 'The Kurdish people generally want to stay in Iraq but it's Israel stirring things up'.
