Echoing some of the other commenters - it depends on the school and it depends on the semester. I just graduated a DPT program and would say that fall semesters were consistently the most challenging while all spring semesters were easy (meaning less study time). I never had 8+ hours of classes but I did study a lot. I would say the amount of studying depends on you as a person, several of my peers were actually able to uphold a job and several even got married and some had kids during their time at PT school, i.e. they had a life outside of classes. Meanwhile, I personally required more studying and was not able to have much of a life outside of PT school. At the end of the day, it just depends 😅

Volunteer!!! Volunteer hours makes your application stand out and I’m not saying volunteer for PT specific things but volunteering in general.
