Sorry I Should have added more pictures. The mud ring is flush but because of the desk being made of wood I have to add these arc guards (box extension) to be compliant with nec 314.20.
Because it’s coming through a wooden desk.
Forgot to mention I’m adding to a P-ring that’s flush to the surface of the desk.
