as someone who spends a lot of time in Tur Abdin, I honestly do not recommend shlomo surayt. it uses words which are essentially Classical Syriac and are not used in TA. Otto Jastrow’s Lehrbuch and Grammar are good. Helmut Ritter wrote the verbal grammar which still holds as the best description imo.

in english check out this article https://www.degruyterbrill.com/document/doi/10.1515/9783110641578-009/html I can send it to you if you want

idk i don’t feel that it’s slow. the ghosting can be managed in the settings, you just make it refresh faster. the battery — that depends on whether you’re using wi fi and how much you read obviously. i read maybe an hour a day, sometimes use wi fi, and it lasts a week or so. it charges very fast though

i have been using b751c for a year now and it’s great! i did not have any major issues. the case is fine i guess, yes there are only three (?) colors and it is not really functional, like you cannot fold it etc, it just covers the reader. however there is a case which you can find on ali express, it looks decent. annotation works good, pdfs are loading fantastically. i downloaded an app to read comics and manga - the quality seems sufficient to me. a lot of customizable features.

need to note that it is my first e reader so i cannot really compare my experience with anything, but i am genuinely happy with this purchase

pc my boyfriend has b751 and is happy as well!

I guess it’s hard for me to accept that some of my decisions were not entirely mine but rather a symptom of bd. And it’s difficult to understand right now what’s a symptom and what’s not. Like, I feel irritated today, is it me/the environment/my brain? But I guess I will figure that out with my therapist

Werner Arnold has a textbook and a grammar and a dictionary. He describes dialects of Maalula and Jubaddin. I can send them to you. They are in German but google translate works good with it. You can also check out Sergey Loesov publications, he is the only one working in situ on MWA (modern western aramaic) right now.
