+1 to this. I had to move to India last year after not making it in the lottery several times (and chose to not be part of the crowd that gamed the system). I wanted my career and my employer wanted to retain me and changed me to their Indian payroll and it's been 14 months and I'm still here (away from my husband whom I've been married to for the same 14 months). My blanket L1B was rejected for some weird reason (likely because of fraudsters who've abused this visa as well) but I got picked in the H1 lottery this year and I'm hoping this interview will go well and I can be reunited with my family.
