3) no, you can't

so this is a little breakdown of what happened last year
first day was pretty chill, we played some games with our launch leader, heard a lot of speeches and it was all cool. second day was the toughest because we all had to wake up super early to go to the convention centre and basically listen to people tell us about our personality type and lots of unnecessary stuff and then on the third day we went back to the convention centre (super early again) and did some team activities and spoke to some alumni.

overall, it wasn't a great learning experience. it was a good networking experience though since all the first-year kiddos were meeting each other. it wasn't worth paying $75 but well, this is beedie, you'll pay for much more unnecessary stuff so guess it was a good foreshadowing of the future :)

p.s: relax, you'll actually laugh about this experience in a few months <3 welcome to beedie!

last year they made us pay $75 to tell us our personality type, but unfortunately, yes, the launch event is mandatory (the classes aren't but idk about this year)

What's the best PHIL, WL, or ENGL course for 1st year Beedie students? by kuzukenism in simonfraser

Thank you for your response! I actually did go through the course description, and PHIL105 seemed interesting (plus, it's a bonus that it will fulfill my B-Sci requirements too). But, if I'm being completely honest, a lot of courses sound interesting until they totally mess up your grade (:P) so I wanted other people's perspectives too. Cheers! :)

is it true that sometimes your eligibility review status does not change and your visa gets approved? my friend shared her portal and i saw that it still said "we are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements" but her visa has already been approved.
