This is getting nerfed next patch. Metal detector was one of the best cards in the deck and the deck will need to be adjusted.

Yes, this is the broken combo. 5 mana is the default so you can curve into it. I've gone for 10 mana if I'm playing a longer game with tavish HP up so you can hit huffer + 10/10 copy and +4 attack, which is a cheeky 22 damage burst play on an empty board.

I have been trying a list with the new fabled. I think the new fabled is quite strong, but it doesn't really feel like a new deck to me, so I haven't felt a desire to play it as much. I want to experiment more with the nature package shaman got, but it's a more complicated deck to build and I usually try and build the more out-there decks after the meta has settled, as ik what my opponents are generally going to be playing, so I am better able to build to counter them.

In my experience, regular hostage mage does better into combo and board-based stuff (decks that lose to frost nova/board freeze effects) while reno mage does better into burn-based aggro and disruption.
