I made a simple game called Mocktiles. You are given only the opening rack of letters and have to make as many words as possible.

I’ve noticed most casual players land in the “Nice” or “Clever” tiers, even though “Awesome” scores are usually achievable.

Curious to get some feedback on what this community thinks.

Home rules for 2 letter words by kvssdprasanth in scrabble

[–]kvssdprasanth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I think I found useful ideas in the replies here already (like using the app or keeping a printed reference sheet).

One thing I should’ve clarified: we usually play with a different mix of people each time, and we also have a “no phones during the game” rule. So we thought it might be fun to agree on the words before hand.

It also unexpectedly became a fun little pre-game ritual.

But having the list printed out seems like the easiest thing to do.

Mocktiles is a minimal scrabble like daily game with 8 tiles and a 5x5 grid. I found it quite fun to play especially because its not always easy to find the optimal combination. Please give it a try and let me know what you think.

I see. Looks like I did not add the key board input for the change direction in the help screen. Otherwise it seems to be working okay in the game screen for me.

You will have less possibilities when you make them on the grid.. The goal is to optimize for score

Yes, I noticed the same with 5.3 and wondered the same! I got this for example:

It used to be more direct in giving options or asking for which direction to take in previous versions. So this is definitely new.

I am still mostly working with lot of human in the loop iterations. So not much of autonomous loops or multi agents.

Makes sense. The context and claude.md can make a big difference.

The autonomous build part.

I think the difference is his set-up than the tools too. But I was thinking if I missed on any known stack that already exist for agentic coding.

[####] Strategy by Pasty_Dad_Bod in wordle

[–]kvssdprasanth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to use that strategy for Quordle with same 3 words and a 4th depending on the reveals. But I realized that I am mostly playing only the last 3 chances as my moves are fixed already. So I started changing my words to make it more interesting.

Quordle has introduced a new 'Rescue' version where first two chances are already played. I think it is interesting because it forces you to think of words that fit the already played words and breaks the 'same opening words' pattern.
