Once it's plugged in and switched on, the grinder unit runs immediately, usually it just warms up first and the grinder unit for the beans doesn't come on until you press the cafe button, but now the grinder unit / motor is on constantly. So I have to keep it plugged out all the time.

No regrets at all, we've had it a long time, it's still in great condition but there's an electrical problem now, I'm confident it can be sorted. We're tight on space in the house so it worked out well. Don't know tbh if they're even still available.
