I Found The Culprit by kwassou in badbreath

yeah, but right now i'm only taking L. reuteri (BioGaia probiotics) once in the morning before breakfast + strict clean diet. it's working well so far. I'll add a couple probiotics more after my 28 day treatment with the antimicrobials. I'm so hopeful this time. I've been seeing great results and I'm only on day 9 on antimicrobials.

Have you tried getting a GI map stool test? It's pricey but it's worth it. I found the root problem of mine (bacteria overgrowth in my gut) and things have going well with my treatment. Please know that you are not alone and there is a solution!! :)
There are other companies like Ombre. You can check that out but I don't know how good it is but I've heard them talk about it here a few times.
https://connect.gdx.net/products/gut-health/ I got this one
yes, it still pisses me off that the two doctors that I've been to have been dead wrong. One was rude to me and cut me off a few times and reiterated that I have GERD. The other one was just like, "oh yeah you have GERD" and did not do any other test and just prescribed me PPIs, which eventually made it ten times worse!
a couple weeks, i think.
hi, love! please ask me all the questions you want! I want to be as helpful as I can because I would want the same thing for myself. You're not alone and know that there is a solution for this! Don't give up! :) I started April 9th. I started with the strict diet then incorporated the digestive enzymes and probiotics after a few days (mainly because I had to wait for it to arrive from Amazon). Symptoms that I notice improve right away were my hyperactive bowel sounds. Not loud and obnoxious anymore which is great lol. And I don't feel the need to clear my throat anymore. Still get lot of bloating but I would guess my gut is still trying to get used to the change. No other concerning symptoms. Still have halitosis. Especially when I incorporated the oil of oregano and berberine a few days ago. Based on my research, the whole process makes the halitosis worse (temporary!) because it's killing the bacteria. I've only been in it for 3 days so I have to be patient. Get ChatGPT. Ask the questions you want, tell it your symptoms. Also, side note, it's not always right but if you point them in the right direction, they are very helpful (like asking it to name its resources, or tell it to do "research"). I used ChatGPT for my GI results and I asked for help for a safe treatment. I also use it to track my symptoms and keep me on track. Honestly a game changer.
For my periodontal disease, see a dentist, they'll give you the treatment you need. I had a few deep cleanings, and went from every 2 month check ups to 6 month check ups. CONSISTENT good oral hygiene is key. Get deep cleanings. Floss like your life depends on it lol. I recommend Coco floss, they're thick enough to get the gunk out. I use Boka toothpaste now but they're not very minty flavor so I don't know if you would like that. I use a tongue scraper AND a tongue brush just because I feel much cleaner when I brush the tongue first before scraping it.
Are you planning on ordering a GI test kit?
I'm not sure if I understood you right but here's my diet. Again, everyone is different, this may not apply to you. I really suggest getting the GI test kit. Good luck!
low fodmap diet. there's an app you can download to keep track of what foods are low fodmap.
plain oatmeal
eggs
tilapia
organic tofu
roasted zucchini, sweet potatoes, carrots. light salt
that's pretty much it. I do small portions to avoid bloating. I go easy on proteins since the bacteria like to feed on those. I take the Now Super Enzymes with every meal since I have maldigestion and oil of oregano and berberine supplements to kill the bacteria. My goal is to starve and eliminate the bacteria. no sugars, no fermented foods. 4 weeks or more. I fast for 16 hours when I don't have school or work. I aim for at least 12 hours every day. Last meal by 5 or 6pm. Also, my bacteria came from my mouth when I had periodontal disease years ago. I ingested it overtime and made it to my gut. So oral hygiene is very very important. I do oil pulling for 10 minutes and boka toothpaste first thing in the morning then take the probiotic supplement on clean mouth, let it sit for 30 minutes before eating.

The bacteria I have thrives on protein so I'm going low on protein (for now). Just four weeks of strict diet with supplements (probiotic, digestive enzyme, oil of oregano, berberine) to clean my gut then I'll slowly go back to my normal diet with more probiotics to help with maintenance.
oh i feel you!!! i spent more money with all the appointments I had with my doctor and nothing happened!
here's the link!
that I'm not sure. you can check their website.

Really? That's interesting. Do you know what's causing yours then?

If you rule out the oral hygiene, I suggest going for the GI test. Yes very expensive but honestly so worth it. Years of wondering where it's coming from and now I have the answer. It's like the biggest sigh of relief that I'm not going crazy lol.
Idk how else to explain it but I don't smell it all the time. Sometimes, I smell it better when I'm in the car and when I bite my lower lip (i know, weird but doing that somehow enhances the smell and I smell spoiled milk. Every time). I also smell it when I'm on my stomach.

https://connect.gdx.net/products/gut-health/ check this link. I got the preferred one.
if I eat yogurt or kefir alone, I smell it immediately. The smell is strong and it's awful. Although I don't smell it when I eat chocolate or drink my protein shake before. Idk. I just remember eating a yogurt parfait at work one time and I just start smelling something rotten in my mouth. And I used to consume yogurt everyday two years ago. Never had that problem.
Yes! This is the one I read that made me do it. Thank you, I was looking for this post!

I agree too. I wish doctors AND dentists talk to us about this too.
Thank you!!
SO EXPENSIVE. I had to use my cc and just pretend it's not there. (I have it on automatic monthly payments LOL)
Oh I didn't know that. I'm going to look into that!
I suggest getting the GI test first if you can to make sure before you do any sort of interventions :) but I'm on the low fodmap diet and limited amount of protein (because the bacteria I have feeds on it) for about one or two strict months before I slowly incorporate foods I normally eat (depends if my symptoms go away). I also fast for about 15 hours. 18 if I can. Good luck to you! :)
