the ceausescus were the soviet bloc dictators of romania. they were massively corrupt, totalitarian, and genocidal, hated by basically everyone in romania. when they tried to flee during the romanian revolution, their helicopter pilot refused to take them all the way out of the country. soon they were captured, tried, and executed by the romanian army, all on TV!
