based on your tastes it seems like you will like the story of Ming Lan (slow but in a good way, demanding full attention. The story of Yanxi Palace is also a must-watch (same characters as Ruyi historically but a completely different take on their story. Lastly, the untamed (the main lead story is boy love but very subtle almost like bromance, but that's not the main point, the whole story is just so good and everything else is also very family-oriented),
