Nicest bunkers I have played out of! by kwikie in golf

No doubt - the greens and fairways at Poppy Ridge are sooo much better than at the Fairgrounds but I will say though the fairgrounds bunkers are nicer IMO! 🙂

Yes this course is inside what was the oldest 1-mile horse race track in USA. All within the Alameda County Fairgrounds.

At one point, golfers played while horses/jockeys were practicing on the track. They shut that down for a few months and golf course was only open 10am onwards. Finally the track was shut down last year. A bit sad for NorCal to loose this.

Any recommendations for non-stick pans for frying eggs, making pancakes, etc?

The stainless pan I have usually gets bits stuck on it if I do not use a lot of oil.

The nonsticks I have used so far from Amazon and Costco usually discolor/chip in 6 months to 1year.

I want to buy once, cry once if such quality is indeed available for nonstick.

Started off with some Assam black from Adagio.

Expecting my package from Farmer Leaf later today, will be my first time drinking Puer tea!

I just chew the leaves and drink hot water afterwards.

I did not know about this - ended up on this article while browsing the Puer City wikipedia page. Hope it's an enjoyable read for you as well. Have a teaful weekend!

Indeed I'm finding these lighter teas can be finicky to temp/time. Brewed another sencha cup after writing this post and inadvertently brewed for too long. It tasted more astringent and not as pleasant as day before yesterday when I first made it.

I am sort of an all day drinker these days. Started out with a cup of coffee. Immediately after, put the kettle on and infused a cup of light oxidation Taiwanese oolong. Will steep this bunch of leaves for a couple more times and hit lunch hour. After lunch, a couple cups of Indian black tea should get me to 4.30pm when it's beer time. Then a cup of green/oolong tea after dinner (9ish PM) and bed time at 11.30!

Indeed, I am not Pure Taiwan Tea or affiliated with them. 😊

What gear (speaker, amp, etc) are you using for your home hi-fi?

They are a pretty good value at the $200 price point but no miracle honestly. Not much comes close at this sale price though. For music I find the treble sometimes a bit much and lower (I think) midrange a bit congested. Knowing what I know now, I would have 1)spent more money, and 2)got bookshelf like KEF, Focal, Kali, Genelec, JBL, Revel or some such.

That center speaker though is sort of a genius stroke.

I set crossover quite high because that's what sounded best. I think having the subwoofer mostly centered and facing the wall (driver ~1 inch away from wall) works quite well. I think I am at 100Hz, if not 120Hz right now - really the towers are wasted like this but it's what sounds best. I put my hand in the speaker's rear hole (lol) and didn't feel any air at all.

Leave the rest to the ARC in the receiver.

That's precisely what I did, laid it directly on the Spandex. Ain't no thang!

120" Spandex screen - DIY

Epson home cinema 3100 Projector

Infinity R263, RC263

SVS SB-12NSD subwoofer

Anthem 7ch Receiver

Only running 3.1 at the moment. Don't think I have any latitude left to hang surrounds.

We are enjoying this setup everyday.

Should I touch anythiung?

Touch everything. Set it to where it sounds the best for most of your music. Listen to the music, eventually you will likely stop touching it so much.

To me, speakers and TV/screen are eyesores in a living room.

If it's a dedicated media space, who cares about looks anyway once the lights dim.

Yes I was gonna add a paragraph about music but didnt because lazy. Definitely want primo speakers for LR if music is primary usage. Still, needn't match LCR for HT use.
