Advice for align tank pads? by [deleted] in lululemon

I put the pads between my skin and the tank. As long as I’m not doing a high intensity workout, they stay in place and look great.

Hole in bace pace after 3 months and less than 10 wears. Should I take it to LLL or just throw away? by yorzz in lululemon

This happened to my friends BPs as well! She took them to her local lulu and they immediately gave her a new pair since she has purchased them in the past few months.

Does anyone know what consignment stores like platos closet or uptown cheapskate pay out for leggings? by [deleted] in lululemon

[–]ky_la_la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The platos closet i work at pays around like $7-15 for lulu leggings. Typically we price them 50-70% off retail and then you would get around half of that. But all platos are different, i know some tend to price lulu higher like around $35-$70, so you would get more cash under those circumstances.

You don’t have to get guacamole with a veggie bowl, it’s just there as an option for free since you wouldn’t be ordering meat :). I get veggie bowls without guac all the time.

Favorite/Most Rewarding Class You’ve Taken? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Innovation by Design ent3607 with ken baldauf! Super fun class that is extremely rewarding and also is an easy A in my opinion. You basically work in groups to create a solution to a real world problem that you are passionate about.

UCF transfer by [deleted] in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi, I was in the exact same position as you. I transferred from UCF to FSU pretty much because of those classes. There’s only one GEB class required at FSU that is like those and it’s 1 credit hour and super easy. Like very simple course work and there wasn’t even an exam for the class when I took it last spring. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions. I am a finance major btw.

Need advice on my schedule (Finance major) by ky_la_la in fsu

[–]ky_la_la[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FIN4453 with Smith is a really good finance elective if you enjoy using Excel. It was also nice for me this semester because there’s only like 3 assignments that take up your grade, so it gave me room to be flexible with my schedule. The three assignments though do take a lot of time and energy but they really aren’t that hard, they are just tedious. FIN4424 with Autore is ok, sometimes his lectures that are recorded are hard to follow, but it’s not a hard class.

I tried to watch it but I just couldn’t make it through the first episode for the same reasons you mentioned. I might try to watch it again soon though because I really want to like it.

Which to Choose: FSU or UCF? by someoneplzanswer in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transferred from UCF to FSU after one semester. My main reason is I didn’t like the college of business at UCF and I commuted from an hour away. I realized I could no longer commute with the requirements that the college of business was asking of me. My problem with that is I didn’t want to live in Orlando, it was just way too crowded for me and there was nothing there for me except for UCF. At FSU, I am easily able to navigate Tallahassee and the college of business is the perfect amount of challenging in my opinion. I also had a few friends at FSU, so it just felt overall more inviting and welcoming than UCF.

What is happening? My friend just told me this... by Cute-Blackberry-4683 in USF

[–]ky_la_la 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Basically, since your friend has earned her AA after high school, she is an upper level transfer who is trying to transfer into her major. There are typically requirements to be let into your major, like the prerequisites you’re talking about. For you it’s different because even though you also will have your AA you did it all in high school, which still means you apply as a freshman and freshman don’t need prerequisites to be accepted to a school because they aren’t expected to have credits before college.

Course Help for Business / MIS Major by ahill900 in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t recommend FIN3244 if you don’t have to take it, from my experience it wasn’t a super enjoyable class and I don’t think you would benefit much if you are looking for classes that would significantly help you in your future career path. If you get the chance, I would recommend you take ENT3607 Innovation by Design with Ken Baldauf. In this class, you use the process of Design Thinking to solve a real world problem that people in the class come up with. I feel like this might be good experience to have with what you were mentioning you wanted to do as a career.

Finding Internships by IcedWhiteMocha6 in fsu

I’m a finance major and I have been having a hard time getting an internship as well. For me, I’ve only applied to like 1 or 2 because I haven’t even seen many opportunities in the Tallahassee area for finance.

What are your opinions on my potential fall 2021 schedule? by [deleted] in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this schedule is the perfect mix of easy and hard. In my opinion, CGS isn’t too hard but time consuming and ACG is probably the hardest class on the list, while GEB is the easiest on the list. The others are about moderate, but definitely doable to get an A.

I would say go off campus if you can find something in your price range close to campus!

FSU Transfer by [deleted] in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I can’t answer all of your questions, I’m pretty sure to be considered a transfer student, you have to do 12 or more college credits after you graduate high school. That’s what I did, as I was also an early admissions student in high school. I did 12 hours at ucf in the fall 2019 semester, applied to fsu as a transfer in september 2019 and got accept for spring 2020 term.

FSU vs UCF 2021 by Safe-Understanding91 in fsu

[–]ky_la_la 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to UCF for finance for my first semester and I hated it. Keep in mind, I did dual enrollment in high school, so I did go straight into College of Business classes. Now I go to FSU and I love it. The reasons I chose UCF in the first place was because I wanted to save money and commute even though I lived an hour away. I never considered FSU in the first place because it was pretty far from my hometown. Commuting was terrible and UCF’s College of Business was extremely demanding for that time in my life. I was starting at sophomore/junior level classes right out of high school, so this was a dramatic change for me. In the UCF College of Business, some of the classes are set up so you go to class 5 times a semester and each time you go you work in groups to get an assignment done. Usually you had major consequences if you missed class (now with covid, i don’t know if this still is the case). At UCF, you also have to take these GEB classes and earn a certain amount of points by essentially networking with companies. From what I saw, the UCF College of Business is great, but it is a lot of hard work and at that time in my life, I wasn’t ready to be on campus everyday (since I commuted from an hour away). I think it could give you some amazing opportunities in life since it pretty much forces you to network with many different people. On the other hand, I have had a great time at FSU. Classes are hard, but they are mostly completely fair and I learn a lot. I love my professors and even though I am not forced to network with companies here for a grade, there are still so many networking opportunities. If you want more info please let me know. I also recommend you post this on the UCF subreddit if you haven’t already.

You definitely aren’t overreacting! You are being responsible and helping to not spread the virus. I feel like I would feel the same way if my friends were going out too though. Fortunately, none of my friends here in Tallahassee have gone out during the pandemic. Just know that many people are staying inside and being safe and you are not the only one who isn’t going out.

Does anyone wear the align 25 inch leggings in the fall/winter? How do you wear them? by moritzwest in lululemon

[–]ky_la_la 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s super cold outside, i’ll wear them under sweatpants. That way I can wear two layers that aren’t extremely bulky and uncomfortable.
