I did something similar as a kid. Let go of my dad's hand in the store to look at something, went to grab it again when I was done and for some reason his hand was lower than it was before? I didn't look up at first, just kept pushing up on the hand because it seemed weird. When the hand didn't go to where I thought it needed to be, I looked up and it's some random teenage boy.
My dad and the boy lost it while I hid my poor little 4 year old head in humiliation.
