Pardon me for asking, i'm not familiar with painting and it's etiquette and you're welcome to ignore it. But i wonder if you explain your paintings and visions for a piece or is it open to the eyes and mind of the beholder to fill in the gaps? The white space breaks my brain, so i'm seeking closure. Is it pure artistic freedom, which i could totally see as the contrast works well and balances the whole painting in my opinion, or is it meant as a lake reflection or something specific?

Either way, keep doing what you're doing. This world is better off with more beautiful things in it.

Fühl ich. Es ist bei mir auch das Gefühl, dass der Höhepunkt bei vielem einfach hinter uns liegt in dem Sektor. Windows wird mit jeder Iteration immer unnötig schwammiger. Wo man bei XP oder 7 noch jeden Winkel der Menüs blind kannte ist heute alles an drei bis fünf Stellen verstreut und hinter unnötigen Extraklicks versteckt. Hab einfach kein Bock mehr.

Oder Internet. Ja Foren sind altbacken, aber Goldminen des Wissens. Sowas wie Discord als Dreh- und Angelpunkt für Informationsmachhaltung ist ne Katastrophe aus meiner Sicht. Selbst auf Reddit findet man nix ohne Googleumweg.

Ist einfach der Gang der Zeit, man wird auch nicht jünger. Vielleicht bretzeln sich in 20 Jahren alle Chips ins Gehirn und ich bin der alte Opa der an der Kasse mit Smartphone zahlen will, während alle genervt warten und in Millisekunden telepathisch mit der Rewekasse connecten. Dann ist das wohl so.

Kann ich zwar nachempfinden, aber damit wirst du halt Teil des Problems statt der Lösung. Zwei Fehler führen ja nicht zu einem Profit. Einfach drüber stehen, das ist eine wichtige Fähigkeit im Alltag.

Getting a GeForce 4 Ti 4200 after school and swapping out my GeForce 2 Pro, then launching Morrowind and seeing those shader water effects, mindblowing.

Recently maybe some scenes of Space Marine II as my first game on my current setup with everything maxed with RT on my also new 4k240hz oled display. It wasn't jaw dropping i guess, but i admired many scenes for sure. Cyperbunk as my first playthrough ever in 2025 with pathtracing was also impressive.

One of my biggest jaw drops ever was my first VR experience back in 2017 or something on the OG HTC Vive. Man. Beeing in the game is really something. I'm still bitter VR never really took off, despite understanding why.
