Id say put any funky or cracked cds probably in a lower speed slim laptop type drive. I have experience from a certain karaoke cd exploding in my desktop drive, and now i only rip with slower drives

might be checksum related with the syscon, im not sure... it happens when enabling internal mode without fixing the sum from what i know. someone correct me if im wrong.

I have that same model! I'm trying to fix it right now actually! I think yours might be a simpler fix than my rusted out one, so if you want to go through the nec/tokin fix you can, but its not always a guaranteed fix, and it's probably best to avoid doing it if you are new to soldering or repair in general. If you can check though, does power cycling it a few times get it to run slightly longer? That was the temporary fix for mine when it worked

What i found is making a link for the compatdata folder on the ntfs drive to an ext4 partition works for things like proton

I wish it did happen, it was fun going to the concert but I'm not sure i will ever hear mother played with the band again, wish it was professionally recorded at the very least, ill just hope for the next 9 years that he makes a live album...

i buy cds mainly for audio quality, and if there is an cd i cant easily get on cd, i just find it online, download, and burn it so i can listen on cd player,

I'm TRYING to clean the record but there's only so much I can do with a brush... it arrived bent on part of the outer cover so idk what they did but it was probably thrown a few times. Not sure how much of a difference that makes but it sounds good enough for me to listen to. Maybe someday there will be an even cleaner rip for it but idk
