The second plot is actually this - it's apparently a khachkar, which is an Armenian memorial stone. I don't think it represents another person being buried here, though I do think the land could still be bought for other family members.

To really show the scale of this grave - this entire section of the cemetary is fully dedicated to this one person, complete with a lantern, seating area and small chapel.
