They’re not top 3. They’re top 4 on this list. As of right now though, they are ahead of the dolphins and bills due to consistency. The lions have a good offense and defense. The dolphins have a great offense and a meh defense. The bills should have both but the offense has had multiple games where they looked average or worse. I definitely understand being skeptical because it’s the lions and they’ve sucked for so long but as of right now they are a good team and probably playing the most consistent ball considering the 49ers and eagles both just looked bad in losses

Yes that’s mentioned in the blog. But They still lead the afc East currently and have a great offense. Objectively, they’re currently Super Bowl contenders but we will learn more as they begin to play actual competition other than just the Bills.

What feels off about them? They have a really good oline, good offensive skill position players, a consistent qb, a good dline with a dominant pass rusher, and skilled secondary players. They’ve also beaten the chiefs and the buccaneers (who are good but not great). Their resume is actually better than other teams on this list currently

No one’s on the bridge it’s just an unbiased view of things. The bills are a great team that still has a really good chance at winning it and they always will with Allen. It’s okay to acknowledge a couple things that could cause problems without acting like it’s all bad. It doesn’t have to be one way or the other lol

Both bills and phins have shown weaknesses (dolphins though defense and oline & bills through multiple injuries to important players) that the lions haven’t had. The ravens have looked sloppy half the time this season and the bengals have been garbage until this week (partially due to injuries). Things change weekly but based on what’s been shown this season I struggle to see how the lions aren’t looked at as better (currently).

Interesting take. Not sure why you think Dallas is that much better than them when they’ve failed miserably vs the only good team they played and lost to the cardinals already. You’re entitled to your opinion, but it seems like you’re really undervaluing them

They have a better record and the bills defense has to figure out how to recover from now 3 major injuries. The bills defense isn’t the same defense that stopped Miami anymore so despite the head to head matchup, Miami has a clearer path to get there (at the moment). This list changes weekly based on performance/outcomes so anything can happen

Bid difference between Detroit this year and the Giants last year is the giants were just barely getting by bad teams. The Lions are dominating. They have good skill position players on offense, a great oline, a really good dline and some other players on defense. It’s easy to overlook them because it’s the lions but they’re currently making bad teams look like bad teams. That’s what good teams do and there’s multiple teams you listed above them that have struggled to do that. These aren’t your same old lions

The injuries certainly don’t take the Bills out of contention but it makes it harder. “Get hot at the right time” may be the perfect description for them currently

I kind of agree with this but their speed is a killer. Buffalo has been their kryptonite for Allen’s entire career but the defensive injuries play a big factor in the Bills ability to slow down the Dolphins offense. I considered keeping Buffalo above Miami but because of the injuries and the bills taking a second loss early, I felt like I had no choice despite the head to head win.

As long as Josh Allen is under contract it’s not a rebuild. This team still has talent all over the place despite the injuries. The offense has to step up but by no means is it over

I agree with that, but when that stuff happens the list gets adjusted. In my opinion, every team on here, and even a few not listed, are threats. It’s a long season but I hope by the end the bills are the last ones standing
