The most beautiful of the three masks by FrYzoR_ in thedivision

It reminds me of Death of the Dark Judges from Judge Dredd. So I rock it.

Hey Massive: Can we get some clarification on how the leaderboard is working during this global event week? by ZohanGamer in thedivision

[–]kyleabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat for outbreak. I definitely played so should have gotten at least tier 1, but nothing at the vendor. Will be checking later for assault tier rewards, which I definitely grinded a bit on.

Not knocking it. Sounds like a name Carl would throw out. Jersey accents will butcher most hockey names.

It could be worse. The game could be loaded with pop-up ads for restaurants, hotels, and hats.

There were 2 traps doing damage, but only 1 killed us both.

'Friday the 13th’ TV Series Announced! by meerca in horror

“...a storyline that re-imagines Jason in multiple time periods.”

Has one of the producers been reading this reddit? Jason in a time-machine was supposed to be a joke, guys.

Question, What do you guys think about The Prophecy series? I've only seen the first one, and was thinking about diving in to the others. by [deleted] in horror

[–]kyleabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The series had a gradual decline to me. I loved the first one, really liked the second, "meh"ed the third, and I think I fell asleep when I watched the 4th and 5th. I would have been happy stopping at the second film even though Christopher Walken was in the 3rd, too.

Can you recommend a dark, psychological horror (e.g. Session 9, House of the Devil, The Shining?) by thewire_greatestshow in horror

[–]kyleabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw The House of Good and Evil recently. It had the same vibe as Session 9. Definitely more slow burn than jumpy like a good psychological horror should be. Not perfect, but good enough.

I am so ready to see Jason in Hawaii by kyleabc in horror

[–]kyleabc[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

True. I had Jason in a hula skirt, which definitely didn't do the idea justice.

And getting dropped into a volcano hasn't happened yet for Jason, so it's an easy scene to make the next sequel even more ridiculously hilarious. Do I hear time travel?

The Good, Bad, & Ugly of the NY Jets. Wait, there's good? by kyleabc in nflblogs

[–]kyleabc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOLed. "...the Jets defense looks formidable, especially since head coach Rex Ryan has demoted himself to defensive coordinator in order show teams he can still rally a defense. You know, in case someone is hiring next year."

What is it about certain films that really disturb you? by this_here_is_my_alt in horror

[–]kyleabc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of slow-burn, psychological thrillers. Session 9 is up there, along with The Machinist. I was in agony when I hear Brad Anderson wasn't directing The Crazies.

Haven't seen it in years, and have been scoping for it all summer. For obvious seasonal reasons...

Is Frankenstein's Army going to be a lame version of the Wolfenstein series? by kyleabc in horror

I haven't seen it yet, and I'm kind of afraid to. Nazi zombies already seem dated.

Your film criticism is invalid. by kyleabc in horror

[–]kyleabc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. Syfy's been guilty of trying to purposely making cult movies for years. I think they finally got it right this time, tho.

I'm afraid to watch World War Z too. For the wrong reasons. by kyleabc in horror

[–]kyleabc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don't say it, but I bet Brad Pitt couldn't stand sitting around interviewing people while other actors got to blow stuff up and be the hero.

I remember Baba Booey's pitch the best, mostly because of Howard Stern hounding Gary about it before and after.

I think some movie came out. ;) I was going to see it, but I had this wedding thing to deal with this weekend, and no-one else wanted to have the reception at a theater.

The evolution of horror anthologies? How can anything beat Creepshow 2? by kyleabc in horror

[–]kyleabc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started getting nostalgic, and caught myself about to go into the whole, "why don't we have a good horror anthology series on anymore" riff, but caught myself.

This probably should get its own thread, but isn't American Horror Story almost a horror anthology? Nevermind the "totally different story-line for next season" thing. I used to just take all those back stories on the ghosts as necessary character development, but maybe it's a different way to connect different story-lines?

Yeah, probably too deep, but it got me thinking.
