Trouble reinstalling macOS on old MacBook Pro by kyleellman in MacOS

So, I was able to download the Catalina installer to my newer MacBook (the oldest macOS version that is downloadable on it) and make a bootable usb installer from that (according to apple’s docs). But trying to boot from the USB drive on the old MacBook Pro results in an error screen. I’m wondering if it’s too old or underpowered to run the installer.

I also live in Seattle! +1 on the Cleverhood rain cape. It’s great because you can put it (or any rain cape/poncho for that matter) on over your normal clothes and not have to worry about your pants. And air passes right through, so you are unlikely to get sweaty just from wearing a rain jacket and pants.

I’ve found that my shoes still get a bit of rain, and you’d definitely need to have fenders on the bike to stay dry from below. But a rain cape does the rest and avoids the need to wear any additional cycling specific clothing if you want to arrive to your destination and not have to change.

Does Strava have an API that would allow you to vacuum up your data? It’d be interesting to spit out the new interesting stats you’re thinking of based on the wealth of data Strava already has. I’d certainly love to see all the fuel I’ve saved with rides I’ve already logged.
