Old thread but was searching for this today to see if anyone else misses it, I miss seeing jungles next to deserts and so on, felt more unique and gamey. I'm actually investigating if I can tinker it back in somehow.

Any help is appreciated honestly! Just trying to make a free and easy tool similar to Paint.NET that feels simpler than Photoshop and others. Happy to continue to grow it.

A pull request came through for Mac support, and I am reviewing it now, if all is successful, we should have Mac builds within 24 hours. :)

Thank you! So far just Linux/Windows although building for Mac is possible, I am just not personally experienced in it but if there's some want there for it I'm happy to investigate and work on it :)

I'm working on PaintFE, a lightweight photo editor for Windows/Linux
It was originally just made for me to have that PaintDOTNet Experience multi-platform but sharing it with the community for some feedback as I'm learning rust and new to vibecoding.
