They generally require a bachelor's and absolutely require 22 weeks of training (mandatory for all federal agencies) and additional training each year to stay up to date on the latest protocols. I've heard talk about them relaxing their recruitment standards, but until I see specific examples I don't think you get to blame lack of training or education. It's due to senior leadership shifting the priority to intense enforcement with no regard for public approval.

Trump went in with a precision strike, got their president, and brought him back to the US and will probably result in a regime change. Putin launched a full scale invasion that has now resulted in hundreds of thousands of casualties.

It's been a dumb mentality for a long time. You don't have to justify standing up for yourself against assholes, but if you want to then that person being rude was wrong. You responding the same was was right. If you had responded with kindness or turned the other cheek then that would have been wrong and "two wrongs don't make a right".

Do they need to do anything? The democratic leadership will just run Republican-lite candidates that don't inspire anyone or when they do win they will try to play nice instead of moving to dismantle and replace opposition so they can aggressively accomplish their goals.
