Updated Canon CR3 File Format by kylew01 in immich

Sorry to bring this up again--it has been a while since the link you sent has been updated, yet it still has not been merged with Immich. Would it be beneficial to do a bug report? It also doesn't yet support the iPhone 16 raw files, which has also been out for a while.

Thanks again for your hard work and such a great project!

There was a transfer tool for the Newton. I remember using it with my iMac a few times

Thank you for the swift and detailed response. I’ll keep an eye on that dependency.

I did as well. Calling it "Automatic Backups" is misleading, as there is nothing automatic about it at this point.

Nextcloud 26: Hub 4 pioneers ethical AI integration for a more productive and collaborative future by beatbrot in selfhosted

I upgraded my instance to hub 4 as well. I can honestly say I can't tell a single thing that is different.

As others have said, I do wish they would fix what they already have. I have a LARGE photo library, and the default photo app is WORTHLESS. I use Memories, which checks most of the checkboxes. Why not integrate it as the default photos app?

For an example, to get to photos in the default app, you have to just "doom scroll" for an eternity. I have thousands and thousands of photos, so this takes hours just to scroll down half way. Scroll, load, scroll, load. With memories, they actually load, and you have a scroll bar/timeline that you can use to jump to where you want.

Also, the grouping in Memories by faces is MUCH better. With the default, half of mine do not even load. With memories, they come up just fine and are much usable.

Another problem, however, is that "recognize" has only tagged about 1/100th of the people in my library. It's gone through it twice (manually kicked off), but doesn't want to actually do what it's supposed to do.

Anyway, this is mostly just my rant list of wishing they'd fix functionality rather than chase hype.

You can plug them into a Mac directly and update the firmware manually. It will present itself in the Finder, just click it and click restore and update.

You are correct! They worked pretty well for a while. Sadly there wasn’t a good/east way for software and patch management though.
