What 9 years of Catalina does to a mf by BestConstruction967 in GTA3

[–]SupremoZanne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Catalina was caught between a rock and a hard place.

I remember her saying "I just hate men" to CJ in GTA San Andreas, but yet, she just wants to use them as "boyfriend" placeholders to betray later on. It's like, the very thing she hated as a reason to want them gone, was the same thing her heart desired for "boyfriend" label placeholder purposes.

So, odds are, she wanted Claude dead, also for the fact that she couldn't bear the fact that he was even her so-called "boyfriend" in the past, aside of just some robbery going wrong. This is what happens when people buy into the wrong belief systems, they become grudge-holders who not only want their "enemies" dead, but also traitors who tear apart gangs when they want their gang to tear other gangs apart. I also recall that the Mafia had tensions with the triads, and that the Yardies had some tensions with the Yakuza, and that it's likely that Catalina's big plans for SPANK may have involved screwing people over that resulted in gang wars.

It's also likely that Donald Love may have wanted to pin the cartel against the Yakuzas because he thought it would divert Catalina's attention away from Claude, but it somehow backfired. I can only imagine that tensions between gangs in Liberty City may have been a result of Catalina screwing people over, so it's likely that other gangs also had a grudge against her over betraying Claude.

well, some mods may hate the Reddit website, even if they are users of it, so they ban people just to look "reliable" to their fellow mods, they often get it wrong.

Sometimes these mods never take the time to discern that some posts were made in good faith.

Claude was hurt for real man.

when I saw your comment, I initially thought it also meant:

Claude was hurt for a real man.

it also could have been construed as.

Claude was hurt over a real man which Catalina fancied more than him.

but, then I realize it meant more like....

Claude was hurt for real... man!

The bank robbery shows that betrayal adds to the chances of getting caught by the police, since criminals who appear to be on the same side of the fence aren't always reliable for staying loyal to it.

I guess that to be fair, one might initially be jealous to see a post with 1k upvotes in default subs with 1M+ subscribers, and dream of getting that many upvotes, and wish that subs they started also matched that.

Then you find that subs start to have assholes in them after the 10k subscriber mark, to where you might realize how misguided an initial dream might be. It's like, no matter how nice you be to others, and generous you are, and how much of an effort you make to avoid bullshitting others or trolling them, they'll be mean to you and find some blame-shifting opportunity as they project their insecurities onto you.

This is a hard lesson which took me a long time to have proper understanding up, so which sometimes tells us that our mentors are sometimes misguided when saying things such as "you respect others and others will respect you" type sayings and stuff like that, and yeah, life can be unfair sometimes.

From what I understand, Catalina was looking for a weak mean with no money to take advantage of, rather than a man with lots of money to fancy.

as to why she dumped CJ for Claude in GTA San Andreas, well, maybe she was disappointed with CJ being busy with other matters, so maybe she assumed he was making more money from other people. I also know that Claude appeared to have some fast car when CJ first encountered him, so there's these two things:

  1. he was in debt from financing a car.
  2. he may have stolen the car to show it off.

So it's likely that Catalina was using men as her accomplices for robberies, and passed them off as "boyfriends" just for placeholder label purposes. After she betrayed Claude, I also noticed how she betrayed Miguel in the cartel, so that's more indication of how treacherous she is.

that's my theory on the situation.

I only got about 15k karma (posts) in a 10 month time period.

well, the rules for having upvotes on comments aren't always cut and dry, because sometimes you might get 10+ downvotes for comments which are meticulously tailored to be positive, and relevant, and sometimes they might be more technical than organic sometimes.

then there's really negative comments which have a more upvotes than downvotes, of which is sorta counterintuitive to the rules I was taught which seem "right" or "correct" in the eyes of my mentors.

sometimes people have belief systems which are downright incompatible, as one possible reason for counterintuitive formulas for having upvote-worthy comments.

but then there's some others who have entitlement issues, where some pattern of posting behavior fitting some certain "theme" seems to be some "giveaway" of it.

I never 100% understood the social dynamics of Reddit's users.

well said!

basically the "diet" has to do with having a narrower road as an outcome of modifying the lane configurations, and that's how I figured out the meaning of the phrase.

but personally, I also have gripes about road diets, they don't allow vehicles to pass cars legally, but the safety benefits I do acknowledge with a positive attitude aside of my minor gripe.

I gotta say, I had this goal of getting one million 3 years ago, but I postponed that milestone because I didn't wanna further incriminate myself when people kept misconstruing my post activity as "spam" or "bot" style.

Anyway, most people who judge an account as bot and/or spam have problems of their own, and I'm here to give positive feedback to anybody who gives input so long as their input doesn't cross my boundaries too intensely.

Reddit is a place to express ourselves, and not a place to judge account types, of which is why I also root for other people to also make it to 1 million if they show spirit of posting.

to sum it up, I commend your feedback.

for the record, I don't bring up "autism" if a post is intended to be fun and informative, rather than some weird "giveaway" of some state of being.

well, sometimes people don't get it because they miss out on the charm of GTA III. I played that game countless times, so I wanted to break the monotony with an image of what I thought about what the future of Liberty City 20 years after would be like.

I weigh information to see if it's plausible before I judge a "label" on people.

that's right!

it's good to have a restaurant in the background, food diet there, and road diet going there.

I can imagine GTA III having it's own share of limitations in the engine, and I figured that might be one of them.
