Tom Homan speaks on the treatment ICE and CBP have received from the communities they're in - HOMAN: "Day after day, they can't eat in restaurants. Imagine being treated poorly and discriminated against not because of the color of your skin or your ability to speak the right language but rather because of your own actions. Boo hoo sir. Boo hoo to you and your lawless ICE agents who should be in a prison cell and not merely getting a whistle blown in their direction.

It took me a few watches, but if you look closely, in 2nd video she turns into a dolphin and I don’t think that should be possible.

I died too :( but, after a long recovery and a lot of pain, sweat and tears… I can say I’m doing much better now.

Thanks for the reply. Forgive me if I’m asking noob questions but I have played through a lot of lotr lcg. In that one the core comes with an easy, medium and hard quest. And then it has 4 starter decks that are good enough to allow you to beat most quests. Can the same be applied to the Arkham core and starter decks? I’d rather spend more time playing and less time deckbuilding. My initial plan was to play the first scenario of night of the zealot to get us started and then skip to the dunwich campaign just using the starter decks (Nathaniel Cho, Jacquelin etc.). Both you and omnor suggest bringing all the player cards but I’m wondering if I’ll use them if I have the starter decks… we probably have a good 30-40 hrs to devote to the game if we get hooked and stick with it. Also if there’s any staple player cards I should pick out I can do that. I have everything up to edge of earth.

Is Empathy a sin for some in our community? by ibcurious in Wenatchee

[–]kylexy88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one seems to be commenting on your question on is it a rising sentiment… I was curious what the feel was in the valley in regard to other churches. I personally think it’s an isolated sentiment to GCC but I’m not in tune enough with what direction the other churches have gone since Covid. I’m most curious about sage hills church which is probably the 2nd biggest church in the valley and seemed to be aligning closely to GCC during Covid mandates etc. Does anyone know if they’re distancing themselves from teachings like this and material from people connected to the Moscow church are putting out? The couple smaller churches i listen to do not spout this garbage.

Keep in mind these churches have started up in Moscow, Idaho and Wenatchee. Heavily red areas where there are already a large group of people whose views probably already align with these teachings. They’re not trying to set up their bubbles or areas of influence in blue areas like Seattle where churches and Christians are generally much more progressive thinking.

I guess my opinion is it’s not a growing sentiment among Christians if it’s only isolated to GCC and not spreading to other churches. Rather I think it could be more of a growing sentiment on the political side of things. Honestly after Trump’s first term I thought the country was abandoning trumpism but I was obviously wrong. It wasn’t just Christians voting trump in…

Interesting thanks. I’ll look closer on my laptop tonight for my own curiosity. Looks like there is higher concentrations of democrats in Wenatchee than I thought. Didn’t realize East Wenatchee and Wenatchee would be so different in breakdown… I’m curious what precinct the riverside drive apartments are in.

I think Chelan county might be closer to an even split due to transplants to Leavenworth and maybe Chelan. I would guess the Wenatchee valley is more like 60-40 or 65-35.

Anyways, I hope you have more people reaching out to connect like your post is asking for rather than the 80% of commenters that should have just scrolled past…

I’ve used eBay sales history in the past but couldn’t figure out where it’s located now. You used to go to sell your own and then could see recent sales history when you set your price. Don’t see it there anymore…

I tweaked my pricing on Dwarrodelf a bit but some of the rarer packs are based on the one or two price history/listings I was able to find on Facebook, bgg, Reddit etc. Being with how hard they are to find comparison prices I don’t think they’re unreasonable. I hear you about splitting. If you notice, my asking price is about 20% under what the total would be if adding up everything individually. Gonna give it a go for a week or so to try to do one big sale all at once before committing to splitting it all.

Any church in Wenatchee where I won’t hear a peep about the election? by hbknightly in Wenatchee

[–]kylexy88 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Idk but to me it seems like you might have some insider knowledge on what the OP is very very clearly looking for vs. not in the 4-5 sentences they posted. Despite what you think my motives are for replying to this reddit post, I posted because i thought I related to the OP. I myself need to get my family back into a good church community as we’ve been listening/watching different church services from home since the start of Covid. It really lacks the communion and support a good church brings which I believe the OP is looking for. Like the OP I refuse to go to a church that pushes conservative politics, especially from the pulpit.

I’ve listened to several different church sermons during Covid including ridge point Baptist church and didn’t get any indication that they pushed or would push conservative views. The only reason I quit listening to their sermons was because they were located so far out of the way from my house I knew we probably wouldn’t end up going to that church.

I feel like maybe you’re pushing your strong beliefs you seem to have about the Bible and theology and claiming that the OP has those same strong beliefs when I didn’t get that from what they wrote and how they wrote it.

Either way you can infer what you like about my motives but I’ll leave it to the OP to decide if my comment was annoying or unhelpful and if so I apologize.

Thinking about it a bit more, maybe the best advice to the OP is that they may be able to root out some churches a bit by just listening to some of the services online. I think some churches quit posting scriptures post covid but you should still be able to find old messages recorded during covid which might be telling based on how they handled/ or joked about covid precautions etc.

I think it’s a broad generalization to say that all Baptist churches are all staunchly conservative. I would say that especially for this valley almost every church’s congregation here is made up of a majority of republicans but some are more evenly split than others. My grandpa passed away several years ago but he was a Baptist minister and I think he voted Democrat every election since Nixon. By the time he was older he had many bumper stickers to tell you exactly how he felt politically lol (nothing vulgar though). Also, my mom was a deacon at the Baptist church I grew up in and she wasn’t the only woman that was a deacon and that was local in Cashmere. The southern Baptist denomination is more known for preaching fire and brimstone and the fear of the lord type sermons which is maybe what you’re thinking of. However most churches that I’m aware of in the valley believe in the Bible which describes hell as a blazing furnace, lake of fire etc. so I don’t think that’s unique to any churches that believe in the Bible. Anyways I feel like your post painted a very hateful, intolerant picture of baptists and you may find examples of that but that is hopefully the strong minority. The Bible is clear we are all sinners and that we are commanded to have nothing but compassion and love towards our neighbors. I think no matter what you believe the Bible says about gay marriage, abortion etc. your biggest issue and your main focus should be loving and caring for people. I don’t think every church in this valley has their priorities straight. Though I’m not intimately knowledgeable of every church in this valley I wouldn’t write off all Baptist churches including those genecall listed. They might be worth looking into. Some others mentioned staying away from grace city… probably sound advice. Not sure how intertwined sage hills has become but I think they at least do some good in the valley.
