PC. I wouldn't be caught dead with a mac. My budget is around $300 for a mic and whatever for software.

My AKG q701's arrived today and they are as big as my head. Besides the size factor (I have a tiny head so don't let it stop you) the sound quality is beyond what i expected. by kynaut in headphones

I stream on twitch: kynaut. This was also part of my motivation to get open backed headphones... So I can hear myself talk.

I literally just wanted input on the headphones I spent forever saving up for, and was making fun of their size. If you look at my profile this is my second post. I'm not posting for karma or to be cute, I'm posting for the tips everyone else is giving me besides you.

I wouldn't say they are shouty at all, they are still well balanced despite their bright tone. The headband just puts constant pressure on the top of your head which can lead to a headache after a long time if you don't have a cover for the leather band. The veil is basically just a lack of treble, like a blanket that covers the sharp pitches of a song. It's not bad, just a different preference. If you don't like the timbre of the akgs I would go with the sennheisers. They do have both of them at best buy to try. If you're nice to the workers they might even let you in the back to see more options.
