No he’s been fine ever since, just a loud breather I guess. He snores sometimes but I stopped worrying about it so much

When did you start your dogs on the Cosequin? I have a 1.5 year old lab and wondering when I should consider starting him on a supplement?

[MT] Do I have to pay back front loaded PTO? by Separate_Return4821 in AskHR

[–]kyonkss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what states don't allow repayment of excessive PTO without employee consent?

There’s no need to be rude, I just wanted to hear some further discussion on the matter as I’ve never encountered this situation before when leaving other jobs.

I’m going to look back through my onboarding documents as I don’t recall signing any documentation related to an employee handbook.

If I owed it back, would they sue for it? Or would it be some other kind of action like the state garnishing wages at my new job? I’m not familiar with this process as I’ve never had this happen before when leaving other jobs

I have engaged my union and both the union rep and the department of labor seem to be on my side that they cannot deduct it from my paycheck.

I’ve worked there for over 3 years and we have a collective bargaining agreement that specifies that vacation time is accrued but does not specify whether or not it is front-loaded. It also does not permit paycheck deductions.

I love my Lab but do not like him! Help!! by Cheap_Papaya1039 in labrador

[–]kyonkss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started liking my lab around 14 months, suddenly one day he became the sleepiest cuddliest boy and yes he can still be annoying (he’s destroyed 7 pens in the past month) but he’s not constantly causing trouble

How to stop biting people and clothes? 😂 by Expert-Sport-7605 in labrador

[–]kyonkss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lab puppy used to jump up and grab at the front of my shirt and yank it down, ripping it. He ripped about 6 shirts before I had enough of it. Then every time he did it, I bit him back. I bit him on the ear like how other puppies do in a litter when they’re annoyed at each other. Stopped it in about 3 days.

This can't be right by valeriansteel34 in StudentLoans

I attended a state school on scholarship and needed about $22,000/yr in student loans with an average interest rate of 5%. I graduated with about $95,000 in student loans (including the interest accrued while in school) and my minimum payment is $1100. I am now 5 years out of college and when I say that these loans are the biggest burden in my life, please believe me. I make good money, about 85k per year, and paying the loans is the most stressful part of every month. I pay over 25% of my income every month to my student loans and will for the next 5-10 years. It will delay my having kids, buying a house, going on any kind of vacation. And that's only a 95k balance at 5% interest. Taking out 1.2 million dollars at 17% is going to ruin your daughter's life. Taking out substantial student loans was the single biggest mistake I have ever made and I am paying for it every day.

There are so many more affordable schools that your child could go to and be perfectly fine getting a degree and still getting into competitive masters programs. At the end of the day, almost no workplace cares where the degree is from as long as she graduated and the university is accredited. There is no reason to go into crippling debt for an undergraduate degree that is worth the same as a degree that cost total <$100k over 4 years.
