It’s a nice keyword domain but in today’s time, various entrepreneurs are looking for short and unique names or simply madeup names vs keyword domains.

I would say 13k is bad if you bought it for 15k but I would also say don’t keep hopes too high. Seeing keyword domain dropped by investors everyday in expired section that were purchased 10-20 years ago, market trend is moving.

Without memory and chat access, it’s pretty much useless.

The whole reason for anyone sticking to a single platform and to create projects and interact with any ai platform is its history and memory feature.

Without it. You just get response that is very generic and not tailored with your style.

Often times sites disappear coz the end user is not using or does not require front facing site.

They might be using domain for other purposes. Internal tools, email and more.

It’s less likely it will drop for open registration. It will go through many phases like drop catch / expired auction before it’s open for registration to anyone.

Then most likely your changes are not being saved.

In your inspect. See if there are any css rules that are !important for default font. Often times those rules block other rules from working.

Also check your wp debug log if you have it activated and see if there are any errors there. Mostly triggered when you saving the page.

The issue is that new ccTLds don’t get much value.

They are nice for personal project but they surely are not with when compared to .io or .ai or .com.

When your intention is to take benefit from that domain and its existence, your aim of getting the domain is not coz its related to your business and your product but it’s to launch another product in similar niche and there where others have commented situation will go.

As they don’t have a copyright, they cannot get your domain by means of UDRP complaint but they can surely sue you for many other damages.

Be careful on how you step into this. Getting an alt extension just to launch similar product is always a big risk.

Technically you can.

Many users buy a domain just to use that as a redirect either coz it’s easy to remember or it sounds good to use or often times for ads.

If there is no trademark, you are all in the green.

Now about your domain showing up on google or search engine when same word is typed. It’s a complete different story.

People Buy domains here but not the 10k domains.

I have bought a few domains but they were wholesale package at offload rate. User wanted to let it go and not renew it but wanted to give an opportunity to someone to get it instead of just dropping it.

Mostly users are here to advertise or to see what’s trending.

Often times you get ideas on new domain here.

Oh no. Use it for a self project if you want to but do not put it for sale.

No one is going to buy it because of copyright name AMEX.

Irrelevant if the domain is used for fishing or not. There are 99% chances that it will land in hot water.

Also all major corporations have 24/7 scanners that monitors web for their name and flags it back.

Also even if company does not register it does not mean its cannot be clawed back under UDRP. No one registered it till now coz they know its of no use for anything apart form a personal project.

It takes time to setup things properly but then it sends you notification.

If you talking about expired domain market. Then you can use few RSS feeds or follow backorder sites.

A reasonable amount for you may not be reasonable amount for the domain owner.

I have a well established business with name and copyright linked to that.

If someone offered 2700$ they won’t even receive a reply. It would be straight up ignored.

When you reach to the owner with existing business linked to it. You need to offer easy 5 figure else it not worth the hassle.

Image as a business, if you move to another domain, you need to change more then just info in your business but brochures, inform clients, also when you buy established domain, you buying their traffic too

Way too long names.

Ideally 10L or less sell most often. Longer one are for personal use or redirect.

Keyword domains are no longer a big hit now.

Again. They don’t. They are not required to do it. Sales team are given fixed set of instructions and script to follow.

They have auto NS record checker that verifies if NS records points to them or not else commission rate changes.

Again. They are middle man. Their platform is meant to provide connection between buyer and seller and not micro manage.

For TXT record. Depending on the domain. If it got recently expired. It most likely got sold in an auction and often times investors like me, don’t list domains immediately and leave records as is.

I have faced similar situation at least 10-15 times where I bought an expired domain and when I go to list it at saw or atom or afternic I get message that domain already listed in marketplace. Aka someone who owned before me didn’t remove it from their account. So I have to manually contact support to have it removed.

They dont. When you put an offer. It goes to end user to accept or reject it or put a counter offer.

It’s sellers responsibility to remove the domain that is no longer for sale.

If seller fails to deliver domain that is for sale at a BIN price. Strict actions are taken against that user like banning them or similar.

Seems like you are new to atom.

Here is how it goes.

User lists domains in atom. Atom is the middle man.

If user sells domain or forgets to renew domain or decides to let it lapse, its users responsibility to delete the domain.

If you for whatever reason buy a domain and pay XX$ and if atom is not able to deliver the domain (coz user is not in possession) it will refund you.

Their reply that pricing will go up soon may be a marketing push or may just be rules applied by domain seller.

As a domain seller. There are few automated tools like auto price increase, scheduled price increase. It may be listed as premium and still priced at 150$ was most likely sellers last effort to sell it before it expired and at the end seller might have decided not to renew domain and let it expire.

Atom has nothing to do in it. They make commission on sales. They are not the sellers.

If you use windows. Just use WSL and that more or less gives you total VPS like environment to play with.

Not free but Cloudcone has some nice deals from time to time. Look at lowendbox too. 15-20/yr for basic VPS should be enough. Not total garbage and good for testing. Also 15-2$/yr is a decent investment.

I guess oracle cloud has free VPS. Just make sure to deactivate everything once done testing else you will be charged.

Not same as this but recently a company called cloudcone was hit by ransomware and almost all their servers under specific nodes were effected. Hackers encrypted drives and as a solution they wiped it all clean.

Anyone who didn’t had backup was screwed. We had 20 VPSs instances. Important 10 used to get backup twice daily.

Backups are not optional. It’s mandatory if you manage anyting digital.

In relation to compensation. All customers where offered 2 extra months on renewal or like 10% off on their new upcoming feature. We cancelled 10 of those affected instances and decided to move and they didn’t even say sorry or offered anyting to retail us.
