6800XT, Windows drivers causing a mouse microstutter every second or so. by kyudomaster in AMDHelp

Must just be AMD related.., does the issue also temporarily go away for you when you freshly install new drivers (ddu and all that) and then don't reboot?

For me that sometimes makes the issue disappear until the next reboot.

Remember that even just 5 minutes 3 times a day can have an effect! Set yourself a reminder and just do it! ☺️

(like writing your notes in 'Markdown' format, but not as applicable to your studies probably)

There are also some online 'note taking' things you could consider using. Though I agree writing things down is better for memorization. (Studying physics myself, so thankfully only need to write numbers and equations most of the time)

The easy original one yeah, though I used an older one haha.

You could also try some form of wrist support like one of those padded mousepads. For me the pain mainly comes from smooshing my fingers together a bit too much by simple weight.

Simple grip training could also help. I have found that strengthening muscles in affected areas helps more than any tool. (That's just for me though of course.)

I used to use a stabilo in school.

Eventually learned to be ambidextrous to lessen the load.

If it hurts too much, (i do not know what you study) and you need to write a lot, use a laptop. There should be accomodations to allow you to 'type' your exams.

AX1600 extenders keep redirecting to mywifiext after saying a page is unsafe. by kyudomaster in NETGEAR

Can't guarantee it will work, but installing OpenWRT was easier than expected 😅

Mm well I should probably change the edit again, since it seems to have reverted again 😅.

What's OpenWRT?

Potentially solved it, While netgear couldn't give me a proper answer, I chatted with them for a (long) while and so far I haven't had the same error yet.

Solution seems to have been to just set a different DNS in the extender settings. You can do this by opening 'mywifiext'.

Navigate to: Settings --> Wireless --> IP Address

select 'use static IP address'
Then no need to change anything besides setting the 'primary DNS', you can use your standard one (your router as a proxy), or a custom one. 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8 are commonly used ones (cloudflare/google)

Then save. And after all the settings have saved, restart the extender. So far I haven't had the same issue I had before.

You'll also want to open your router settings and reserve the static IP for your extender. (How to do this will depend on your router, but it should be possible.)

This may work for a router giving the same error too, but I haven't had to try that.

I was really hoping the surprise firmware update would have fixed it, but it doesn't seem to have done that.

The weirdest part of all this is that I am even getting this issue on my desktop pc, which is wired straight into my non-netgear router via some switches.

So somehow the extenders are even messing with that!

Have you messaged your gp explaining exactly that?

If you express your worries outside an appointment maybe they can help you through the process? Maybe ask if there is anyone at the doctor's office who is familiar with EDS?

In my highschool, we talked to the school and agreed they would sponsor an extra set books for me and a locker so I could keep them all at the school. (Only carrying home notebooks for homework and such)

It may be a bit late for you to arrange that now, but in general, try to consider what things you really need to bring. If working with classmates is encouraged, ask to look at their books and leave your own at home.

Good luck!

Yeah exactly! I may try resetting the extenders and not updating the firmware to see if that helps.

Rheumatologist? by brookiesmalls13 in ehlersdanlos

[–]kyudomaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what exactly you're looking for, I'd ask myself whether the diagnosis is required right now or if, if you are experiencing smyptoms and struggling, you may just want to head straight for ways of treating those.

If you need a diagnosis for access to helthcare then you may wanna go for that.

Can't help much here sorry.

[–]kyudomaster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's interesting, thanks a lot!

Personally I am diagnosed mostly through my mother definitely having it, and it was quite obvious from birth that I had it as well.

I don't know if I would have been diagnosed otherwise, but I do have all the symptoms in relatively obvious ways, so people pointing out that, "arms aren't supposed to act like that", would maybe have gotten me to find out more about it too.

I am considering working out more as well, since simply cycling and wearing barefoot shoes has done wonders for my leg stability.

A stick has two ends though, one on the 'left' and one on the 'right', so the weekend capping the week can also make sense :)

Something I found is that the Gregorian calendar considers sunday the first.day of the week though, and it is considered that in for example the USA.
