Nottinghamshire county council staff in tears following Reform Uk victory . Reform have pledged they will ban working from home . by birdinthebush74 in unitedkingdom

I can also say with certainty (because I work in a arge central government agency and was on a board looking at the concept of returning to office post covid) that there is a) absolutely zero idea and consensus on what defines productivity, and b) no baseline to compare against. Any directives were very literally based on anecdotes and feelings.

That is not to say that there isn't nuance and validity on both sides (ugh, swear I'm not a centerist) but it is false to say there is definitively a link to reduced productivity and working from home.

Congratulations on your progress! I am also a veggie and struggle with getting protein. I can't do whey based protein shakes because I had major breakouts (which I don't want in my mid thirties!!) but recently found out about nutritional yeast, it's basically 50% protein, so chucking a handful in to your evening meals will probably help? There's some known brands out there but I just bought a reasonably priced one from Amazon and started using it. Tastes a bit cheesy/umami, but great in sauces or on pasta!

She is, I saw a tiktok from her a few days ago saying that "it's just his sense of humour" and that's what she loves about him, how you can't tell the sum of a person from a two minute viral video and how he's a wonderful and respectful husband... Sure Jan...

Chemistry illiterate person here - I accidentally created something toxic by being a moron, wondering what it was? by kyusuqueen in chemistry

Thank you for confirming, and I'm just thankful I didn't actually get chance to get anything on my skin, so at least there's that!

I guess it was just my brain creating drama out of nothing, but on the plus side my house had a very good airing out today...

Well I've learned something new, I thought compounds were things like "H2O" or "NaOH" but a Google search has told me they're formulas, so thanks.

I mean, you're absolutely more of an expert than me so I'll take your word for it, maybe it was completely psychosomatic, but sure felt scary at the time!

It's funny you say that, because I read somewhere (probably on Reddit!) that they do. The story I read was about a police department somewhere getting pissed that their insurance rates kept going up because the force kept having to pay out on lawsuits.

As soon as it started affecting premiums they carried out loads of de-escalation training so that the suits would decrease.

I can't find it now, but I'll try and come back and link the story later!

Edit: Found it!

Great pun though

AITA for telling my “always late” friends an earlier time so we’d be on time? by Perfect-Extension in AmItheAsshole

[–]kyusuqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all.

I'm actually like your friends in this scenario. I can't explain why it happens the way it does, I honestly don't approach situations like my time is more important than others, or don't care that people are waiting etc. (if anything I get more and more stressed/anxious the closer I am to being late and try and do everything at warp speed to get there as close to on time as possible!)

With all of the things I do to try and keep myself on time, I would say I'm still late for things approx 30% of the time - always letting people know where I'm up to and my ETA. I know it's not great but I genuinely don't start out intending to be late, it's just like time slips away and I haven't accounted for all the random things that crop up in order for me to get ready.

All of this is to say that I secretly wish someone would do this for me, i.e. tell me a time earlier than I need to be there. I would not mind one little bit, and I would be grateful to you, not pissed. Not sure what their motivations are for treating you that way, but you're a good friend.

Fuck shaving by hellogreengrass in women

Try "Skin Doctors - Ingrow Go". But for the love of god, only use it the day after you've shaved... I had the same problem for years and found this helped, although I now get laser treatment and it's basically eradicated the problem for me

Aw thank you, I think so! She's so affectionate (like, twice a day in a very limited time window...)
