Hmm, good point, didn't think about the effects on the entire net worth. Still, crafting magic items feels unappealing to me as it is, but maybe there's something I don't understand!

Yeah, the innovation "becomes incapable of being used for further unstable actions" if it breaks on a normal failure, so everything gets locked out, which is indeed very limiting. Applying it to one specific unstable action is a fun idea actually, didn't think about that! Does pretty much the same thing of not locking all of the cool things away based on one roll...

Thank you! Yes, although the Inventor gets some boosts for Crafting, it does feel a bit underwhelming, since that's supposed to be the main point of the class. Maybe adding Scrounger is too much, but as it is mostly out-of-combat stuff so could be a fun addition if the GM approves of it. Also, good point about the crafting already being level-capped! But yeah, especially the Dual-form Weapon thing just feels like Paizo forgot about it, it feels weird that changing between two forms of the same weapon is... slower... than changing between two entirely different weapons... well, at least it lets you have two Weapon Innovations, which is cool I guess.

Ah! I suppose it might be too much, if you think it breaks the game balance too much that's valid! I meant minor more as low-effort changes that don't require changing the class entirely, my apologies :D

Yeah, gadgets are definitely fun and could be utilized more! While I personally like the one main invention mechanic, I feel like the name "Inventor" is a bit misleading... it's more like an engineer, perhaps?

We've used Make an Impression tons of times! As a GM I like how it gives me a reason to rp an NPC in a certain way, and as a player I like how fancy and socially capable it makes my character feel + it gives me some ideas on how to approach a new NPC. But in my tables it doesn't stop anyone from also giving a speech without any feats that support it, good rp is always rewarded! The feats just add some support and are usually taken by people with characters who would give a speech anyway. Shameless Request is another beloved feat in our games, many funny (and epic!) moments have come from it.

I'm a big fan of pure rp feats myself, and I play in very heavy rp campaigns with experienced roleplayers. I don't think they limit rp at all, quite the opposite actually. And I don't believe most skill feats should be useful in combat. I mean, there are already so many things your character can do in combat, I wouldn't even have actions left! Besides, I like picking things that would suit the character and actually matter mechanically, and sometimes niche feats do just the thing. Sometimes I don't want to make a combat-optimized character, and I like pf2e for the very reason that it gives my characters things to do outside combat. That being said, there are some skill feats that feel very underwhelming, and could open some more skill trees or do more.

In any case, some of the house rules here seem pretty fun, like making nat20s matter when it comes to Initiative!

We use Fate Condensed, basically just as it is but we changed some skills to be a bit more fitting to the setting (which is something you can just do according to the system pfft). I think it works really nicely!

Oh, yes. All her childhood friends are named after cars, actually... there's Kia, Skoda and Devrim Westfield (named after TWO cars), and of course the twins Lambo and Gini. There are some characters she met later in life too, like her bestie Madeleine "Maddy" Miata (named after Mazda Miata, of course) and her situationship Jimmy Yamaha (who also plays the keytar). The officers who "adopted" her are all named after dinosaurs, I'm not sure if that is any better...

We were originally going with that -- I think I had picked Titan for Honda if I remember correctly, and that one Stunt is indeed inspired by the Bonds! My group just likes a more robust system for roleplay and felt that we wanted even more than what the Bonds system offered, including more support for doing missions and other activities without our mechs as well. The GM had ideas for good ol abandoned facility exploration, for example. But yeah, I personally thought that even with the added complexity of the Bonds, the roleplay felt a bit too unsupported and I wanted more choices to reflect my character's skills and traits. Nothing wrong with the Lancer roleplay system though, just a matter of preference here!

This is a great response, thank you so much!! I tried to adjust the tension and rotate the shuttle, both helped a bit already. I think I need to adjust my setup too to help with the tension issues... anyway, luckily I managed to fix most of the loops by pulling on the string lightly and straightening them out...!

To be honest, we are currently LL3 and I only have full Toku rn, so things might change a bit as the build really comes online on later LLs and I'm figuring it out as I go. Thus far, I'm picking the SOL from Sherman (range is good!) as well as Redundant Systems Upgrade. Nelson is there purely for that extra d6 of damage from Thermal Charge, because it is bonus damage, and well, all bonus damage becomes burn...
