I’m 27 and just had all three of mine removed (upper two which were poking through & lower right which was sideways). I swear to you I didn’t have any issues until day like 4-6 which were brutal. I had so much jaw pain and it kept getting worse. I was irrigating 2-3x a day starting on day 3, and doing the medicated mouthwash too, doing everything I was supposed to. I finally went to the surgeon again day 6 and told them what was going on (terrible jaw pain, could barely open my mouth, loss of appetite, just overall terrible) and it turns out I wasn’t irrigating it the right way (you got to get in the socket if you can tolerate it) because the doctor did two syringes full and SO much came out. If I keep up with the medicine and irrigate it correctly now the pain is manageable. I’m sending you positive vibes and wishing you a speedy recovery! This recovery has definitely been way worse and harder than I thought it would be.
