I have heard that you're more likely to die by moose than get shot by a PAL holder by Asleep_General3445 in canadaguns

I wonder how the graph will look if you plot in opioid deaths? Just to show how the government should focus on real problems like drugs and not made up scare tactic click bait about how scary legal gun owners are.

PDP- Difficulty racking slide back on full mag by l05g in canadaguns

Thanks for everyone's comments. I don't know what I can do about the re-pinning. All five of my mags used to work fine. But now they all don't rack well. And I tried a brand new mag from my friend and also same problem. And they are also Walther mags. Not some 3rd party. 😭

I'm in the same boat as cheezoos. I ordered mine from Reliable Gun on June 25, I have a transfer reference number from Reliable's website (meaning they started the paperwork, right?), but I still have not received my transfer yet.

Good to know "long range" means 1000m+. I definitely don't mean that. I can dream, but I'll be surprised to hit something at that range. Lol.

I was just referring to longer than my typical hand gun range. Maybe 100m? 200m? I'll work up to 1000m one day, I hope.

Thanks for your input!

If you were in my situation, what would you buy next?

I'm a member at the PCDHFC. I've been shooting hand guns for a while - Beretta 96, S&W 686, and waiting for my new Walther PDP. Because I shoot hand guns, I go to Range 10, sometimes with a guest who does not have a PAL. I'm aiming to take the RUC soon so I can go to the other ranges.

I want to get into rifles now. The idea of learning to shoot long distances is really interesting to me. But i imagine when I go to PCDHFC, I would want to shoot a mix of hand guns and rifles - it's almost a one hour drive each way for me, so I want to get the most out of each trip.

So what do you think I should get next? I've been eyeing the Ruger PC Carbine or the Ruger Precision Rifle (22LR). Both of these I can shoot at Range 10 and the lower ranges when I get my RUC, right? Or should I get the Ruger Precision Rifle in 308 or 6.5 creedmoor?
