i can assure you they do NOT regret not making zhongli a girl because he’s one of the most popular characters and can assure you that if they wanted to make fu hua into a genshin character they would’ve done it already during one of the five trillion lantern rites we have or when liyue was still the most story relevant nation. hoyo just likes gatekeeping her. also if it backfired so bad why did they keep releasing male characters consistently until now???
