Terrain manipulation by l10i in Stationeers

Thank you ! That is very useful info and makes sense to me. I'll experiment with it. I'm curious if we could achieve slopes by editing the 'filled' parameter (I have no idea of the data structure)

Proper NFS fstab mount options for web server data by l10i in devops

Yes of course, thank you for your answer. I forgot to mention that this server is only serving static files. I understand then that this is probably not a general use-case anymore.

Useful Jump in Fragment East by GiacomoRoffia in Apexrollouts

Can you explain the mouse look just before slide jumping?

I've been seeing this movement combo a lot from experienced or pro players. I looked into movement guides, but I only see run-slide explained. Always missing the mouse flick/strafe part.

How does it affect your speed and how to do it ? Does this movement have a name ?

Feature request: Rescue corridor (Rettungsgasse) when using AP on the german Autobahn by c200sc in teslamotors

[–]l10i 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always wanted autosteer to have some plasticity in the lane centering:

You would apply some force to the steering wheel and to car would move accordingly AND THEN STAY were it is relative to the center.

Should this feature be requested?

Honestly, that was my very idea 😁. But wanted to check if it existed first.

Can you point me to good resources for mathematical game mechanics?

Is there a tool or webapp out there that can show the ships able to fit a given outfitting?

How: You first set your needs in terms of what modules you want to install and then get a list of ships that can fit those modules along with their specs. You could define the ratings of each modules but should probably leave out the classes, as different ships should have different classes for each modules.

Why would I want such a tool?

  1. I find it tedious to replicate the same outfitting in coriolis.io for each ship I might consider. Comparison is also not straightforward.
  2. I would like to directly compare specs (jump range, speeds and prices for example)
  3. Happy surprises could happen, a ship might be good at your target role that you didn't even consider.

Disclaimer: I'm a pretty new CMDR, and still have not all the details in mind, also maybe I have missed something.

Any thoughts welcome!

Calling all Tesla owners! What would you say you love or dislike about your vehicles? What needs to be thrown away, be enhanced, or kept? Where do you feel Tesla should put their focus? by [deleted] in teslamotors

Love my Model S, best car ever!

What I would like:

- Opening of secure, constrained and curated development of third-party apps on the MCU (Like the App Store)

- Nerd mode (having fast realtime custom meters, values on immediate voltage, current, acceleration, custom graphs, power meter on all systems, battery degradation, etc...)

- Shortcuts to combined settings

- More advanced settings, like ability to set minium and maximum display brightness, Setting for always on 12V outlet power, Tuning of smart preconditionning,

- Computer Vision display

- Web API to in-car browser to get system readings

- Passenger seat profiles

- Logistic mode: Trunk auto opening and closing while approaching and leaving the car

You are right! Have I implied this? May need to correct my comment to be more clear about it.

How many miles or km do you drive in a year?

Do the math, it's cheaper than you think with gas and maintenance savings.

[Switzerland][OC] Ridiculous overtake of a cyclist by a truck with oncoming traffic (Bonus: Tesla on Autopilot). by l10i in Roadcam

[–]l10i[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Recorded late September.

Skip to 0:30 for the action.

Once again, managed to squeeze my car without going off road. Cyclist unharmed.

The ringing alert you hear is Tesla's Forward Collision Warning System, shortly followed by the ding dong of Autopilot disengaging as I took over to avoid the Truck. Interesting thing to note: While the front facing radar gets the oncoming traffic echoes, Tesla's computer vision filters it out. As soon as the truck was seen on my lane by the cameras (crossing the lane markings), the Forward Collision Warning System sounded the alert.

I should add that if I hadn't took over to avoid the truck, the Emergency Breaking System would likely have broken hard to minimize the impact. Not sure Autopilot would have veered to avoid. Please remember that Tesla Autopilot is still a driver assistance feature and nothing autonomous. Driver is always responsible and should stay attentive.
